“Child-friendly hotel with a good location and rooftop pool”

This was our second time staying at the hotel. We celebrated the first school year that had started well and child's approaching birthday. The friendly staff made the visit memorable. We were taken care of wonderfully during our visit, including with a birthday greeting (a bag of candy) and the child's wish for a bathtub was fulfilled. The cleaner brought the child the right size bathrobe and slippers when she noticed that we didn't have the right size slippers for the child. Thank you Elia and the Welcome Office for the wonderful room. The swimming pool and the 16th floor restaurant had great views. Many people complained about the cold in the swimming pool, but the water was wonderfully warm for us and our heads didn't freeze when we dived under the water. It's definitely worth packing swimming goggles in winter. The hotel room also had great views of the sea and the harbor and the good bed provided a good night's sleep. According to the child, one of the best things about our stay was the breakfast, where the child's favorites were pancakes and waffles. Breakfast also included omelettes with various fillings. The breakfast was varied, including rice porridge, freshly baked bread, a cold cuts table, smoothies, a hot table, and specialty coffees, tea, and cocoa. Tämä oli meidän toinen käytimme hotellissa. Juhlistimme hyvin alkanutta ensimmäistä kouluvuotta ja lähestyvää syntymäpäivää. Ystävällinen henkilökunta teki käynnistä mieleenpainuvan. Meidät huomioitiin käyntimme aikana upeasti mm. syntymäpäiväonnittelulla (karkkipussi) ja lapsen toive kylpyammeesta toteutettiin. Siivooja toi lapselle oikean kokoisen kylpytakin ja kylpytossut kun huomasi,että meillä ei ollut lapselle oikean kokoisia kylpytossuja. Kiitos Elia ja Welcome office ihanasta huoneesta. Uima-altaalta ja 16 kerroksen ravintolassa oli upeat näköalat. Uima-altaalla moni valitteli kylmyyttä, mutta meistä vesi oli ihanan lämmintä ja pää ei palellut kun sukelsi veden alle. Uimalasit kannattaa talvella pakata ehdottomasti mukaan. Hotellihuoneesta oli myös upeat näköalat merelle ja satamaan ja hyvä sänky tarjosi hyvät unet. Lapsen mielestä yksi parhaista asioista vierailussamme oli aamupala, jossa lapsen suosikkeja olivat letut ja vohvelit. Aamupalalla oli myös tarjolla munakkaita erilaisilla täytteillä. Aamupala oli monipuolinen muun muuassa riisipuuroa, vasta leivottua leipää, leikkelepöytä, smoothieta, lämmin pöytä ja erikoiskahveja, teetä ja kaakaota.

“Nice view”

I have not spent any night in this hotel, but from time to time espicially during summer, I enjoy a coffee in the hotel's cafe situated in the last flour. You can admire beautiful views of the whole Helsinki. If you love amazing landscapes from above then this is your place.

+ The views from the room over the city were breathtaking. In this hotel, it doesn't matter what side of the building your room is, because you will still have amazing views either over the rooftops of Helsinki, over the harbour or the sea. We had asked for a higher floor room in advance and got it. The room was clean and nice-looking, even though quite small. + Rooftop Skybar on the 16th floor was excellent, offering nice drinks, music and spectacular city views to every direction. +The lifts with a view were also really nice. + Reception staff were nice and all of them spoke English and Finnish. + Breakfast was very good and diverse. They offered also Carelian pastry as a Finnish specialty. The harbour views from the breakfast room were nice. - I didn't like it that you have to decide your breakfast time in advance already at check-in. But maybe they need to do this because the breakfast room was very busy even now with timed entry. +The rooftop swimming pool offers fantastic city views on top floor and it's heated all year round. There was also a sauna with a view. - When the weather is sometimes windy in colder months, the water on the rooftop pool doesn't stay so warm. Please consider how you could protect the pool better from the sea breeze. The pool with the view is perfect on those days when there is no wind. + Location is very convenient, as the tram to the city centre leaves just in front and the hotel is located next to the harbour, in case you plan to visit Tallinn too with the fast ferry that is very popular with locals. We walked only 10 minutes from here to beautiful Bulevardi street where we found many restaurants and cafeterias.
