Booked last minute ski package and was pleasantly impressed with this hotel: modern, spacious and clean. The restaurant was excellent: great selection for breakfast including fresh juices. Evening meals were also good, but would like to see more vegan / veggie options available. The bar was good: lots of families with kids late afternoon, but more adult-oriented later in the evening. Ski rental is onsite, there are lockers to store skis and boots over night, and the slopes are on the doorstep. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Belambra Club Hotel Les Crêtes – Pleasantly Surprised We’ve just spent a week at the Belambra Club Hotel Les Crêtes. It was our first time booking an all-inclusive ski holiday, and after reading some of the reviews beforehand, I was slightly apprehensive. I’m happy to say that our group of four were all pleasantly surprised by the hotel and its amenities. We arrived late, while our friends travelled earlier and couldn’t check in until 5pm. They used the free bus just down the road from the hotel to head into town and were texted when their room was ready, which worked really well. Unfortunately, we arrived after the main food service had finished, but the restaurant stayed open for us and kindly sorted some fresh pizzas — a great first impression. The Room The room was lovely and spacious for two people, with plenty of storage space. Food • Breakfast: Plenty of options including cereals, boiled eggs, and a good variety that changed daily. • Lunch: We only ate lunch once, but it was buffet style with a good selection. • Dinner: Buffet style again, with different options every day. There was always a “pizza of the day,” which changed daily. Drinks included self-served red or white wine and water, unless you brought drinks from the bar. The Bar A large space that gets busy once everyone is back from the slopes, but the bar staff were quick and efficient. There was a good selection of drinks included with the all-inclusive package. At lunchtime there’s also a separate “spread” laid on in the bar area — French onion soup, meats, cheeses, etc., which varied each day. Around 4pm there’s a sweet bar opened by the staff, which was a nice touch. Overall, there was always plenty to eat. Facilities The pool was okay, but quite cold when we tried it, so we didn’t go back. There’s also a small gym — basic, but perfectly adequate for a ski holiday. Ski lockers are allocated by room number and secured with a personal code. The hotel is truly ski-in, ski-out if you exit via the back of the locker room, with the 1800m village right there. We also worked out that you can ski the green run all the way down (Accès Vallée Blanche) to the Petite Aiguille lift, then ski down (Acces village). It’s a quick right turn and makes the hotel very accessible. Overall A great experience and much better than expected. We’d happily stay again.

“If you are not French do not stay here”

Staff are rude, with the exception of one or two. The reception staff don’t explain anything to you if you are not French. Literally here is your room and there is the lift. Staff are rude, with the exception of one or two. The reception staff don’t explain anything to you if you are not French. Literally here is your room and there is the lift. Not the cleanest in communal areas. Not enough staff in the restaurants, spend ages waiting for plates, tables to be cleared and nobody wants to help you. Childrens high chairs are disgusting. Not all drink stated are available at the bar. Staff will refuse to speak to you in English. For the size of the hotel there is not enough seating areas in communal areas or the bar. Our room one heater couldn’t turn off, so balcony doors were kept open with the piste bashers and snow blowers right outside. We visited reception 6 times and nothing was done. In the other room , black hair everywhere. If travelling with young babies no fridge in the room to store milk. You can request a baby package though for a small bath to place in the shower. There are no play zones for the children unless they are in kids club so I do not recommend staying here with babies and young toddlers. Walking into town is fine with a pushchair but to get back you need the bus and again it’s not easy with nobody helping. The buffet restaurant is good. Lots of options though the meat is tough and chicken was under cooked on one night. Breakfast is good. New years dinner was nice but again no service and staff and managers were eating in the restaurant with their families, when there wasn’t enough seats for paying guests. Entertainment is shocking. Nothing on when you come off the slopes even though the bar is full. Children’s entertainment starts at 9pm and all in French. The ski and boot hire is in the hotel which is great. The staff there are wonderfully helpful and friendly. The hotel is ski in and ski out but early in the season this is not possible especially if you are a beginner as only a black run can lead you home. A really disappointing stay and I would not recommend this hotel. The swimming pool is good.
