Loved our stay at Le Pelican! Rooms are lovely, clean, spacious and modern with beautiful bathrooms too. I loved the mirrors next to the window to enhance the view and the light, really clever! We had an adjoining room with another of our group which made it perfect! The staff were lovely, we were greeted with a €30 drinks voucher per room for booking through exoedia which was great and perfect for a drink in the bar before bed! Location is on the lake but also very close to the old town. Loved the little bakery too at the front of the hotel, great to grab a pastry and coffee before exploring! Would highly recommend this hotel, Annecy is absolutely beautiful!

This is probably one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in over more than 110 stays over the years. The UK hospitality industry could genuinely learn a lot from this hotel. Everything felt modern, sophisticated, and immaculately clean, as if it were brand new. The food was exceptional—some of the best we’ve ever had—and the coffee and pastry shop next to reception was a real highlight. The staff were outstanding: friendly, professional, and welcoming at every turn. The lake views were stunning, and the restaurant food was consistently amazing. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay—and that’s saying something, as I’m very discerning.

“Classy hotel at walking distance from the canals”

Classy hotel, at least from 5th floor a view to the lake, not unobsctructed and lake is maybe 300m away. Classy hotel, at least from 5th floor a view to the lake, not unobsctructed and lake is maybe 300m away. There is unbuilt lot in fron of the hotel on the other side of the street and behind that starts a park. Our room had the view, the windows (that can be opened) though are not huge. Hotel is at walking distance from the canals, for a fit person takes like 5min direct or bit more walking by the sea. Parking under the hotel tight space as usual in France, but works. Not too many places, book. Breakfast not too cheap 28eur, but good, also you can sit at the 2nd floor terrace outdoors. Same palce for the restaurant (we had dinner) which was on the expensive side but nice, personnel friendly eveywhere. Boulangerie inside the hotel, some people had smaller breakfast using its items. Pool, yes there is and it is heated, maybe too much even. The usual ”I’ll sneak by towel on the sunbed at sunrise and see if you will come later”, but not too much. Obviously screaming children and the area is nit that big, swim rather in the lake. We went to the pool around 4pm, but managed after all the find a sunbed, unfortuntely many with towels, but towel owner elsewhere. Annecy is touristic I noticed (even in May), lake is beautiful, there are swimming places, do that. Took a 1h cruise, guy only spoke french, fell a sleep. So Pelican, we paid 200eur for lake view in May, which I think was very reasonable price.

“A mixed review!”

A lovely hotel in a great location, lovely pool, the room was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here. However it’s let down by the restaurant. A lovely hotel in a great location, lovely pool, the room was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here. However it’s let down by the restaurant. By far the worst (and most expensive) meal we had whilst in Annecy, half the meal came out a full 10 minutes after the steak and fries had been delivered, when we raised this as an issue the restaurant staff were not bothered and basically dismissed us. Stay at the hotel it’s great, but avoid the restaurant and eat in town!
