“Overnight Stay”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on the way from St. Tropez to the UK. We booked it on the journey and therefore could only have the last available room (a twin) which was absolutely fine. My wife and I stayed at this hotel on the way from St. Tropez to the UK. We booked it on the journey and therefore could only have the last available room (a twin) which was absolutely fine. Very clean , lovely bathroom and shower and comfortable beds. We arrived at 20.45 and quickly ordered ordered a delicious dinner which was lovely and the staff were all very attentive and helpful. A lovely hotel unassuming from the outside and lovely on the inside. Definitely a hotel we will revisit.

“It was OK, but..”

When we arrived the attitude of the receptionist on duty was somewhere between indifferent and frosty - which was not a good start. All the other staff whom we met, however, were pleasant and helpful - especially the night man, who showed us (as the receptionist did not) how to get into the buildin… more

When we arrived the attitude of the receptionist on duty was somewhere between indifferent and frosty - which was not a good start. All the other staff whom we met, however, were pleasant and helpful - especially the night man, who showed us (as the receptionist did not) how to get into the building after the door was locked. Next morning there was no water in the shower. This was soon fixed - but again this had us wondering about our choice of hotel. Biggest disappointment was that on the one night that the restaurant was open during our stay it wad fully booked for a function. On the plus side the price was reasonable, the bed was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was adequate, and the location was convenient.

“Clean but very small room”

Small hotel with restaurant The main reason to stay there is restaurant The good this is very comfortable and big bad plus cleanest But room is very small and there is difficult to even put and open suitcase. Opinion would be better if there would be at lest one possibility to hang coat or jacket… more

“A two night stay”

We were booked into a double room, even after asking for a twin bedded room. The double room had a good sized shower room which would have been ideal, but the double bed not. We were booked into a double room, even after asking for a twin bedded room. The double room had a good sized shower room which would have been ideal, but the double bed not. I have spinal issues need my own bed. We were moved to another room, the beds were fantastic, however, the shower room was made for a very tiny person. Sitting on the loo, one had to be careful how you got up. I banged my cheek, the sink was that close. The room was clean and well presented. Shower room let it down. We booked breakfast. The first morning it was lovely as it was in the dining room and set out with white table linen. The second morning, the buffet was set out but we were instructed to sit in the bar area. This is all very well, but it appeared to be the owners office, he had one table taken up and people were coming and going. If I am paying good money, I feel that I should have been allowed to sit in the DINING ROOM area away from the daily grind of hotel business. The hotel appears to close up at night and people let themselves in and out but the bar and restaurant were closed. Would I stay here again - probably not.
