I booked a package as a surprise for my daughters birthday and everything was perfect. From the room to the service from all the staff we had a fabulous overnight stay. All meals were included as was a thermal circuit in the Spa and all my expectations were exceeded. The building itself has a very historic feel and we were so lucky when we went as every part of the hotel was quiet which made everything extra special. We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Padierna and in actual fact we are already planning our next visit. Thank you all.

“VIP stay in an oasis of tranquility”

From start to finish, hands down, the most relaxing hotel I've ever visited. I booked a 5 night package with 'Anti Ageing/Detox' program - booked 2 days prior to arrival. I also arranged airport transfers (45 mins from AGP) with the hotel, which was seamless. Located high in the mountains, wonderful fresh mountain air & set in the center of the small, picturesque village (I only ventured outside for about 30 mins on the last day as I was ensconced in my relaxation bubble). Elisa at reception greeted me and I was taken on a tour of the property - from the restaurant, to my room, through to the spa, where upon Raquel continued the orientation of the spa amenities. I was provided with a personalized schedule for all 5 days including the treatments: 1 x salt scrub under Vichy shower, 2 x bioenergetic massage, 2 x sub aquatic massage, 1 x seaweed body wrap, 1 x facial and 4 circuits of the roman baths. I also added 2 x private yoga sessions, with the ever patient Vanessa, and also a water flow treatment in the baths. The bedroom overlooked the courtyard with private terrace and was lovely and quiet - melt-into bed (not too soft, but luxurious), bathroom had a large bath, directional and rain shower. Good towel stock & toiletries. The spa itself is set over a couple of floors (lift available) and is all based around the therapeutic waters of the region - interesting treatments and therapies on offer. Incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and professional therapists. The terraced sun bathing areas and outside pool are set further up the mountainside (accessible via steps), offering great views and a peaceful area to relax. For me, the outstanding highlight was the food - being vegetarian, I'm often resigned to a lack of options in restaurants, but here...the package is full board, offering breakfast and 3 course lunch/dinner. What a delight to have tasty, filling, but also calorie-controlled, healthy meals each day - I looked forward to each meal with relish! There's a choice of 2 starters & 2 mains for lunch/dinner - both starters and 1 main are vegetarian, so I was in heaven, enjoying each meal! Admittedly, the portion control may not suit everyone, but as this is a wellbeing resort, it's in the spirit of healthy living. The wait staff were great too - knew my preferences after the 1st lunch - attentive service without being intrusive. I've returned home lighter, healthier, relaxed and energized. For a relaxing, unwinding, healthy 'me time' (I finished 5 books) break, this is the perfect property, but it's really the team here that make it special. I will absolutely be back.

The hotel is 40 minutes from Malaga airport, and is situated in a quiet Spanish village with beautiful mountain views.The art work and decoration was tasteful, giving an ambience of quiet luxurious relaxation. We were given a warm welcome by the hotel staff who were attentive discreet and friendly; the hotel was clean, well organised and calm. Our room was at the front with a lovely view, the bed was comfortable and there was a well appointed marble bathroom. The restaurant accommodated my wife’s vegan gluten free diet, and nothing was too much trouble; the food was organic, healthy and tasty. The Spa was clean and beautifully decorated, with wonderful marble carvings. There were five different pools, the hot mineral pools were very relaxing; the appointment system meant that my wife had a pool to herself at every visit, much appreciated.The spa was always quiet and never felt busy, and the spa staff were kind, professional and skilled. We drove through the National Park with wonderful views to El Chorro, and walked towards Caminito del Rey. Villa Padierna Thermas is a special and relaxing place to unwind, we would definitely return.
