A very special little hotel with lovely warm welcoming staff. Super clean room, comfy bed, requested quiet room and was delivered a courtyard room at back of hotel. Large bathroom, great shower, rainfall. Would have loved a bath at in the shower as it was slippery and I’m used to one. Had I arrived with a large suitcase full of clothes, they would have stayed in the case, very little hanging space and no shelves for clothes. Breakfast at 15 euro consisted of fruit pastries, bread, cheese and hams. Lovely selection of jams and honey, crepes coffee etc. you can get coffee and croissant for 6.50. The hotel has no bar but we provided the wine and the staff the glasses before we headed out to dinner. Great recommendations from staff re restaurants and they organised booking too for our party of ten. Throughly recommend

Centrally located hotel at good price point but had a few drawbacks for us. I will say that the staff were always welcoming and helpful. Firstly, the lack of any hotel parking (understandable given where it is) makes it complicated if you are driving to Renne. Navigating the one way streets for a first timer to Renne was hard and the reception give you the addresses of three places to try. After getting lost I ended up finding one but found out upon leaving it the next morning that it had uncapped rates so the cost for 4pm to 9am the next morning was 28 Euro! We found however that the room (Privilege room) did not meet expectations - It is relatively small but we did have a larger bed, which was quite comfy. The airconditioning seemed to be centrally controlled and as it was very hot when we were in Renne we wanted it as cold as possible and it seemed to keep resetting to a higher temperature. The bathroom though was very small, shower over a deep bath which was hard to get in/out of in the space, limited countertop to put anything etc, and a side panel on the bath was falling off and not attached properly. The room had breakfast included which was ok. The hotel only does breakfast but did recommend nearby places for dinner which made things a bit easier after a long day sightseeing (which for us meant driving to St Malo [highly recommend] and back and returning our hire car at the train station which was straightforward once you find the right parking station entrance!). Overall nothing seriously wrong but perhaps our expectations for the hotel were higher than they should have been.

We have stayed here several times when visiting Rennes. Consistently good although our most recent stay was less happy. Unable to sleep due to street noise during the night. Breakfast disappointing. We have stayed here several times when visiting Rennes. Consistently good although our most recent stay was less happy. Unable to sleep due to street noise during the night. Breakfast disappointing. We met two receptionists during our stay. One was welcoming, helpful and pleasant. One was the opposite. While waiting for our taxi in the lobby on our last day, staff insisted in hoovering around our feet and we had little choice than to go and wait outside (there is no area other than the lobby for guests except the bedrooms). Fortunately it wasn’t raining. Felt less welcome this stay and will consider a different hotel next time we’re in Rennes.
