Good value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Type of room, we booked, was a very decent size with the kitchenette unit. Convenient bed. Quiet area. Walkable distance from Railway station as well as the Old Town. Although in the close proximity to the property there are no choices for restaurants or cafes, so your best options would be to walking towards the old town (10-15 minutes).

“Good hotel, rude staff”

I stayed at this hotel for a few days with my father and found it comfortable and practical. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfy bed and a small kitchenette that made it easy to have a meal without having to go out every time. The shower box was small but still worked fine for us. I also liked the breakfast – it was fresh and had a decent variety. The location isn’t perfect, but it’s convenient enough: about a 15-minute walk to Petite France or you can use public transport close by. The self-service laundry was a great bonus. I’ve been traveling with my father through different cities for the past three weeks, and in all the other hotels, the highlight was the staff, who made our stays even better. Unfortunately, this was the only hotel where our experience with the staff was disappointing. While the man at reception during check-in was friendly and welcoming, the woman working there on the other days was very unfriendly and, at times, outright rude – selectively so, which felt even worse. Overall, the staff didn’t seem to care about making guests feel comfortable, which took away from what could have been a much better stay.

After a quick check in, I proceeded to the sixth floor. I had taken a taxi costing 8 Euro from Strasbourg railway station as it was night upon arrival, but the hotel is easy to reach via line B of the excellent tram network. It is poorly lit, lacking a prominent streetside sign. Unlike some other reviewers, my room's carpet was clean. However the room was pretty basic: two tables and chairs, a Queen bed with a clean sheet and doona, a choice of pillows, wardrobe and two small bedside tables with lamps. WiFi was slow to upload photos and annoyingly, the log in code changed daily, which was not explained at checkin. The bathroom was nicer than the bedroom but water pressure in the shower could do with improvement. There was a microwave, crockery and cutlery for those wishing to dine in, plus a good bar fridge. Traffic noise was audible on my first night. Reception sold snacks at exorbitant prices. There was an ATM in the next parallel street, two left turns from the hotel. There did not appear to be nearby restaurants. This hotel is functional rather than a welcoming 'home'.
