This is a lovely hotel, very new and modern in a fabulous location. Parking is easy with good EV charging. The reception was very efficient and friendly. Lovely room with nice size fridge and microwave, huge bed and very good bathroom. The bar and barman were excellent lovely setting with a nice size sport TV but not over loud. He had Good recommendations for beer, with perfect friendly service. However the high spot was the restaurant.. I wasn't expecting such good food and service for such a good price. The steaks were just perfect with very nice peppercorn sauce, excellent wine choices. I would highly recommend this place for visiting Alsace and Strasbourg. But also perfect for a stop over . Faultless

We stayed at Citadines Eurometropole for two nights to visit the Strasbourg Christmas markets. As expected, all hotels increase their prices during this period, making this a more expensive stay than it would usually be. I booked this hotel because it is clean, modern and has a private parking below the building. The city center can most easily be reached with an Uber and costs between 12-15€ one way, which was to us perfect! When we checked in, they put us in a wrong room. I specifically booked a large bed in order to be more comfortable during our stay, and this was simply ignored during the check-in process. However, we went back to the reception to ask for a solution, and after a small discussion we were given the room keys of the room type which we booked, which was a nice spacious studio apartment on the 7th floor. This new room was clean and modern, and the bed was comfortable. However, the Chromecast on the TV did not work at all, making it impossible to connect to stream. The English TV channels also did not work properly. I think it is quite weird that a clean of the room/making the bed/providing new towels each day, has to be paid for as an extra service. To me, for a 4*-hotel, this should be included. Breakfast was not great. You had to book in a slot in advance which was quite understandable during busy times, but is of course a lot less relaxed than what you would want during a vacation. The worst part of breakfast is that the food that should have been warm (bacon, eggs,…) was cold! Not tasty at all. We were also sat in a large conference room-type of area which was not cosy at all! On the last morning, we were woken up around 5.30 with the fire alarm going off in the entire hotel. As we had made our way to the reception with the rest of the guests, we were told that the alarm was activated because a guest showered too hot! We think it’s crazy that simply taking a hot shower can set off a fire alarm in the entire hotel, but OK. Better to be safe than sorry. Overall, we had an OK stay but the hotel has quite some improvements to make, especially for the over 250€/night they charge during Christmas market time.
