I booked this hotel prior to reading the Trip Advisor reviews because I trust the Hilton brand. In fact, I didn't read them until after I checked-in while having a drink in the lounge. I was a bit surprised that there were so many negative reviews and disappointed that I hadn't read them before booking. I was pleasantly surprised. My experience was completely different than the negative reviews I read. My room was spotlessly clean (as were all of the public spaces in the hotel) and my room was comfortable with great bedding and fluffy towels, lots of space, a safe, coffee and tea, filtered water, etc. I found it to be not at all dated, nicely decorated and very comfortable. That said, given how far I travelled, I wish I wasn't overlooking a parking garage in one of the most beautiful cities in France. There is an excellent restaurant and separate cozy bar with options for lunch or dinner. I had dinner there the first of my three nights, drinks and snacks in the bar frequently and breakfast there two of the three mornings. The food in the restaurant and bar was very good. There was a diverse selection of menu items/options. I felt the prices were reasonable in both the bar and the restaurant. There was also a nice breakfast buffet but the hot food on the buffet was not hot - even right after the buffet opened at 6:30am. The best part of this hotel is the staff - everywhere: housekeeping, restaurant, bar and the breakfast staff. They are a top-notch service team especially at the front desk and most especially Carmen (I wish I had written down more names). Carmen was very gracious in helping me get handicap assistance for my TGV train back to Paris. All of the front desk team acted as helpful, well-trained concierge(s) helping learn how to get around and the "best" places to go! Collectively, the team across the hotel were warm, hospitable, helpful, responsive to my requests and always willing to chat for a minute or two.

First, the upside - the room was spacious, the staff was very friendly & helpful, the bar was nice. The hospitality was good! On the flip side though, the light in the room was very very dim, and I don’t know why! We were visiting the city for the Christmas markets, and the location of the hotel felt a little off for that purpose. And that is the reason for my rating of this hotel. The tram was a short walk from the hotel connecting us to the rest of the city, but ideally, we should have stayed closer to the Christmas markets. Plus, there are no eateries or shops in walkable distance from the hotel if you’d like to step out for dinner. So on a cold winter evening, if you don’t want to take a tram or bus ride, you only have the option of staying in.

“Good option if the price is right and you need an easy parking”

Not to repeat all the other reviwers...but this is a VERY aging hotel, with mediocre breakfast and overpriced dinner and bar, not too far from the city center (10 mins on a tram) and a wonderful service team (especially F&B folks) and management. Proximity and easy of parking are alos big pluses.
