“Excellent in every way: just be sure to get an upper room if you can carry your luggage up.”

We reserved 5 nights "blind." We were NOT with a tour group. Little did we know that the location of the hotel was perfect - central to just about anything. “Only one disappointment”

This apartment building is in a super position close to the cathedral and everything is easy to get to. The flat was exceptionally well presented having been refurbished completely within the last couple of years. A shame there is no aircon. Little did we know that the location of the hotel was perfect - central to just about anything. Literally hundreds of restaurants, with any kind of international cuisine, within a 10 minute walk. Communication with the staff was always prompt and clear. The bedroom was air-conditioned, king-size bed, and there were a couple more places to lay your head in the main compartment of the suite. Kitchen had everything you need. Everything was clean as should be, and the staff came halfway through out stay to do a cleaning. Price was very fair and competitive with other area hotels. I have read reviews referring to lots of noise; we did not experience that. That said, our apartment was over 40 steps up from street level, and there's no elevator. Not an issue for us, really, because we don't check massive bags for traveling. Just be aware of this. Also, be aware that European showers aren't the same as American showers (not a "rain shower," but a "hand held" shower. One other thing: though much of Strasbourg does look like the picture on the waterfront, the hotel entrance doesn't. The picture of the waterfront was taken about 2-3 blocks away. No big deal..
