This place has its ups and downs. To my surprise the bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well. The location is great - the half-hour walk to Annecy is nice, Sevrier itself is pleasant enough, the paths up onto the wooded hillside behind the hotel are easy to find, and it's certainly peaceful there. The staff know some English and if you know a little French too you should be OK with most things. On the downside the staff were pretty disorganised, the wi-fi is abysmal (over the course of several hours you may or may not manage to get an email notification, but nothing more) and the advertised hairdryer was nowhere to be seen. Top tip: the bike hire shop in Sevrier is very good and considerably cheaper than the one in Annecy.

“Very nice and convenient hotel”

This hotel is at no more than 5 minutes from the center of Annecy. It has free parking with lot of space. The structure is nice, and the staff is very pleasant and kind. The rooms are not very big, but clean and comfortable. The price was very convenient. Absolutery suggested. :)

Lovely welcome by young man at check in, but it all went downhill from there. We struggled up narrow stairs to our room and no one offered to help with luggage. Lovely welcome by young man at check in, but it all went downhill from there. We struggled up narrow stairs to our room and no one offered to help with luggage. The room was very basically furnished, although to be fair, the bed was very comfy. The initial thought on the bathroom was that it was in need of modernisation but it was clean. However we soon realised that there was no shower curtain and on further examination realised that the shower could not actually be mounted onto the wall. We immediately reported this to the young man at reception who went to get his manager. After they had both scratched their heads and looked very puzzled, they said that they would not be able to get this repaired until the next morning. We asked if an alternative room was available and after an initial response advising that they were full up, they did miraculously find another room. This time we were offered help to move our luggage. We asked the young man to wait while we checked the shower which unbelievably was exactly the same. So all we could do was wait to have it repaired the next morning. We then asked for a menu for the restaurant, we were pointed to a menu board which had one set menu and no choices....how can this be a 'restaurant'. As it was late, we did decide to eat here but the food was just average and overpriced. The location of this hotel is great and could have a lot going for it if they would get their act together. We stayed here 3 nights and the shower was never fixed. The checkout was very slow- no ink in printer so receipt all hand written. We were overcharged for one mornings breakfast which we didn't have and when we pointed this out, the person conducting the checkout proceeded to re write the whole receipt....
