This hotel is located within 10min walk of the Lille Europe train Station where I arrived and where zi would be picking up a rental car the next day. Arrived late evening due to Eurostar train being delayed more than 2hrs. Greeted warmly by the lady at reception and was provided with a room on the third floor. A handwritten welcome note was located in the room next to the bathroom mirror. A reasonable size room with a comfortable bed and a bench area with chair for writing and the tea and coffee making facilities. Good size flat screen TV on the wall. Temperature control system in room can be changed to suit your requirements using the control panel on the wall. Open wardrobe with hanging space and clothes hangars for clothes. The bathroom in a separate area off the bedroom had the toilet shower and handbasin and hairdryer and again was a good size. Soap and shower gel dispensers located next to handbasin and in shower. The only minor issues were some water damage to the external wall , the shower having a clamp on the pipe that was spraying water and in turn reducing the pressure to the shower head. Several of the ceiling panels as you first enter the room were also not level with the ceiling. As I was only staying for 1 night arriving late and leaving early I did not mention this to the staff but would expect they be looked at for future guests staying in this room.

Lovely and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Clean facilities. Good walk to the centre. Would visit again. Only thing was didn't cater to alternative diets, a family member with me was restricted, no soya options (weird given alpro is lille based) and no veggie sausages at breakfast. I needed an overnight to break up my journey from Redditch/UK via Dover-Dunkirk and then onto Frankfurt am Main/Germany, Lille seemed a good place, hotel was easy to find just a short trip from coming off the motorway. I parked on the main road outside the entrance to the hotel, was told I would have to vacate the place latest 8am following morning or use the hotel private parking for €13,- the night. Reception - late shift & morning breakfast staff very friendly. My room was on the second floor, it was clean and bright, had a double sized bed, tv only had french channels-no other European channels. Bathroom - clean with walk-in shower, noticed there was no wc toilet brush available. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly very varied e.g. freshly made scrambled eggs & crispy bacon with small smoked sausages, fruits, yogurts, juices, pancakes etc etc. ( I found the toaster took a really long time even on a medium setting. ) The cutlery looked a bit dull/stained, didn't really look ' clean ' with a shinny look! While I was there, there wasn't any restaurant for a dinner service, I think they had bar snacks for guests arriving in the evening. I did enjoy the Dutch draft beer on tap though.
