Please ignore negative reviews!! We were so worried about coming after reading the recent negative reviews but we have had the best time. We arrived on Monday. Yes check in was slow but it was check in time and everyone wanted to check in. Ideally they’d have had another member of staff on the desk but they didn’t and the queue went relatively quickly. We walked to our apartment. Our apartment was clean and well equipped (except for a chopping board, we asked for one at reception and I told my husband, if the reviews are right, we won’t get one, and low and behold it arrived at our apartment promptly). The apartment had 3 fans (one in each room) and in 38 degree heat one day, it was absolutely fine without air con. The reviews that complain about lack of air conditioning… we’re so used to not having it in England that it is a treat when we get it! We cooked most nights in our apartment. The aqua mundo was the cleanest swimming pool that we have experienced on holiday. Plenty of slides and so much fun for the kids to experience. The farm was great and included in our stay. The indoor play area was brilliant on a rainy morning. We hired bikes for three days which were great for getting around the complex. We visited two restaurants on the complex… this was a slight downfall to our stay. Vapiano was good - food was delicious but the kids received their food 15 minutes before us. After asking 3 times for our food, it finally arrived. We visited Le Bistrot too. Again, food was delicious but service was questionable - it took 40 mins after we finished our food for table to be cleared and we asked for the bill 3 times and ended up having to go to the till to ask to pay. I think people who have negatively referred to the wildlife here, possibly don’t understand that they’re visiting a nature reserve. We saw mice, bats and many insects around our apartment. We saw lots of coypu (beaver rats) around the lake, two babies running in front of us on our bikes and one near our apartment one evening. These are not rats. The adult ones are much bigger (beaver size) and babies are slightly bigger than rats. We saw no actual rats. The shop is well stocked, the bakery is excellent and the arcade is good for the kids too. We did bowling which was great. The calendar on the app said that there was a party in the pool on the Wednesday which we turned up to and no staff knew about it. Possibly something that needs taking off the app. The place is always being attended to by gardeners and cleaners, the staff are generally helpful and speak excellent English (we did attempt some French) and the whole parc is really well kept. The promenade is really lovely to walk along. We’ve had a really great time on holiday here and would definitely book again!

Could not fault! The location is absolutely spot on for travelling from CDG, visiting Dinsey, Parc Asterix and central Paris. The scenery is stunning and it removes the mayhem that is city life to calm and serenity. We stayed in an upstairs premium apartment. (4782). The lift worked for the entire week we were there, the parking out front is easy for luggage drop off and there’s plenty of bins for rubbish with rodent traps. I did not see one rat around the bin area but I did see people not ensuring all of their rubbish went into the bin. The area is clean and tidy. Yes there’s some scat on the ground but there’s a lot of wildlife around. We saw: nutria, herons, grebes, swans, geese, pigeons, frogs, gulls, sparrows, tits, mice, a single rat, hedgehogs to name a few. You are in a place which encourages nature so enjoy it for what it is. The rooms were perfectly adequate and clean. Yes- they could have a lick of paint here and there and the outside area is a little rickety in places but we did not feel unsafe or at risk. You do need to ensure you have toilet roll, soap and washing up liquid for a stay of more than 2 nights. Regarding the lack of fans/air cons units… it’s not necessary, if you remember to keep the rooms dark. We took some cooling towels, which were handy around the area, as it hit around 43 degrees when we were there. The area is very well signposted and the interactive map makes it seem more difficult than what it is. There’s a well stocked supermarket, a bakery (Chez meunier), pizza, burger, ice cream, crepe and bistro restaurants. You won’t go hungry and they’re all reasonably priced. The Forest of Legends play area is a great place to shelter from the sun and for the kids to be let loose in the trees. The farm appears to well kept and animals looked after well, although we didn’t see too much, as we did not go at the right time. The aquamundo is a cracking place for the whole family! Despite the outside area largely being shut, on one of our days, we still managed to spend around 3 hours in the pool area and didn’t feel like we had missed out. Life jackets are readily available across the pool area for the safety of children. The swimsuit situation is no big deal, if you’ve experienced French pools before. Just don’t try and get in with anything fancy and you’re fine! There’s a lot of life guards and we had largely very pleasant interactions with them. The sun loungers are taken up quite quickly and people clearly take in towels and bags with water/suncream for the day. We’re not sun worshippers so it didn’t bother us. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this place. It was exactly as we hoped it would be to give us the best of both worlds that is busy city life and some peace and tranquility.
