We have just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel. From start to finish we had nothing but top class care by staff, all of whom were friendly, polite and respectful spending time to answer our questions fully. We asked to change our room to one that had a walk-in shower as we found the shower over bath was a bit difficult for us (being OAPs) and this was done with ease. Our room and the hotel in general was beautifully clean, not noisy, the beds very comfortable and eating a very tasty breakfast in the Manhatten Restaurant was a pleasure. The hotel grounds were beautifully kept and the location to both Parks and Train Station was ideal - within walking distance (10mins max). We would highly recommend this hotel and it would be our choice again if ever we return. Thank you to all at The Art of Marvel for such excellent service and in doing so making our short trip so happy.

We stayed at the art of marvel in the empire state club, on arrival to our private check in reception we were told we had been upgraded to the presidential apartment and oh my goodness what an unreal and amazing experience, we walked in to find a grand piano in the lobby entrance which was an unforgettable moment for our daughter as she plays piano! The upgraded apartment also included lovely exclusive gifts for both of our girls and some lovely champagne and marvel themed treats. As soon as you enter the hotel staff are attentive and welcoming. All staff were friendly and lovely with the girls. We received a birthday badge for our daughter and lots of the cast members wished her happy birthday. We booked a meal and birthday cake in the downtown restaurant which was just lovely, they brought out a Spider-Man themed cake and all staff in the restaurant came to sing happy birthday and the chef brought out a chefs hat and put it on her head, this was such a lovely experience with everyone singing and clapping! The hotel outdoor pool was lovely and a welcome break from the heat. The hotel is situated at the start of the Disney village which was great for getting into the parks especially with a younger one. Overall I can’t praise the cast members, the facilities and the parks highly enough, it was magical and priceless to see our daughter’s experience the magic! The hotel has everything you need, kids club, art design studio, pool, gym, restaurants and bars as well as a marvel merchandise store. The theming of the hotel is amazing so many details everywhere. We loved the parks, they had so many good family experience rides, great for all ages.

“Superior family room”

We’ve just returned from a one-night stay in a Superior Family Room. Pros Location – The hotel is ideally located, just a 5–10 minute walk to the parks. Magic Hour – This is a fantastic perk and definitely adds value to your stay. However, be aware that there is still around a 10–15 minute queue to enter the park itself. Lobby & Reception – The lobby area is modern, clean, and well-presented. Our children especially loved the Marvel displays, which added a fun touch to the arrival experience. Breakfast – There was a good variety of food available, and staff were on hand to assist whenever needed. One thing to note is that it gets very busy after 8am. Cons Room Cleanliness – Unfortunately, the room lacked attention to detail when it came to cleanliness. It felt quite dusty, the bathroom tiles appeared dirty, there was black mould visible in places, and the room had not been vacuumed thoroughly as we found hair on the floor. Room Condition – The room felt dated and in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms in particular looked tired, very basic, and somewhat budget in appearance, which was disappointing given the price point. Value for Money – As a family of five, we were provided with only two bottles of water and were told this was the maximum allocation. For a premium-priced hotel this felt unnecessarily restrictive and poor value. Pool – Our children were very excited to use the pool, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. However, the floor appeared quite slippery, and we witnessed several children having falls or near misses. The pool itself is fairly basic, and although there is a small jacuzzi area for younger children, it was often overcrowded. Additional shallow or stepped areas within the pool would’ve made it more suitable for younger guests. Overall, it felt more like a public swimming pool than a hotel leisure facility. Overall, the hotel has some excellent features, particularly its location, Magic Hour benefit, and welcoming public areas. However, the cleanliness, room condition, and certain aspects of the overall value for money mean that it fell short of the standard we expected for the price paid.
