“Excellent hotel”

This is a new hotel in the southern outskirts of Paris. The rooms are excellent and the air-conditioning is silent and effective. The rooms are finished to a very high standard. This is a new hotel in the southern outskirts of Paris. The rooms are excellent and the air-conditioning is silent and effective. The rooms are finished to a very high standard. Some rooms have a view of the Eiffel Tower. My only non-positive comment is the service by staff at breakfast which is very variable (too variable for a hotel of this quality). They should ask customers if this is their first visit and if so explain to them how it works [you can order a la carte, but you do not have to as there is large choice at the self service buffet]. Also it can take ages to attract the attention of a member of staff to get a coffee. They could ask customers what drink they want when they show them to a table!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff went above and beyond to make my son’s birthday extra special, surprising him with balloons and a lovely cake in the room, which truly made our trip unforgettable. The room itself was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with the most incredible view of the Eiffel Tower — waking up to that view every morning was magical. The hospitality, attention to detail, and warm atmosphere made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris!

Room purchased Photo 1 Room given Photo 2 We booked and paid for a Superior Room with two double beds, a terrace overlooking the city, breakfast and dinner included for three people (my husband, our 8-year-old child, and myself). This was a significant expense—approximately AUD 1,200—and we expected to receive exactly what we had booked. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room did not have the terrace we had specifically paid for. The receptionist told us that the hotel was at full capacity and that no upgrades or alternative rooms were available. Although our booking was non-refundable, I explained that I would need to contact Agoda to resolve the issue, as we had not received the room we had purchased. Interestingly, while I was speaking (waiting on call) with Agoda, the same staff member suddenly said they had found us a room with a balcony overlooking the forest instead of the city and that they would add an extra bed for our child. This immediately made me question the earlier claim that the hotel was "fully booked." We accepted the alternative because we had no real choice. However, the room was extremely small. There was barely enough space to move around, let alone accommodate an additional bed as promised. (I have photographs available.) In the end, the three of us simply shared the existing beds. The balcony was also disappointing. It was so tiny that only one person could comfortably stand outside at a time. One person had to move aside before another could step onto it. This was certainly not the spacious terrace advertised in our booking. There were also several details that were disappointing for a hotel claiming to be 5-star: No shampoo (empty bottle) was provided. Towels were supplied for only two guests despite the booking being for three. These may seem like minor issues individually, but together they reflect a lack of attention to detail and service expected from a luxury hotel. What made the situation even more frustrating was that throughout our stay we could clearly see several larger rooms with spacious balconies on our side of the hotel that remained unoccupied. This strongly suggests that the hotel was not actually at full capacity, contrary to what we were told on arrival. I would also like to advise future Agoda customers to carefully check that the room you receive matches exactly what you booked. The hotel attempted to blame Agoda, claiming Agoda sells room types that the hotel does not actually have. Personally, I found this explanation difficult to believe. My own family owned and operated a hotel for many years, and we always did everything possible to accommodate guests honestly and professionally. We would never mislead guests or shift responsibility onto a booking platform. Finally, when we checked out, another staff member apologised and assured me she would personally discuss the matter with her manager because she agreed we deserved some form of compensation for not receiving the room we had paid for. Unfortunately, I never heard from anyone again. Overall, while the room itself was clean and comfortable enough to sleep in, we did not receive the accommodation we booked or paid for, the explanations we were given were inconsistent, and the customer service after the issue was raised was disappointing. For the price we paid, I expected honesty, professionalism, and the room that was advertised. Sadly, this experience fell well short of the standards expected from a 5-star hotel.
