The reception staff - Clara and Adele - were exceptionally polite and attentive. Everything was handled efficiently and professionally; check-in and check-out took only a couple of minutes. The reception area always had water, cola, and juice available, and I was also offered coffee, tea, and madeleines - a delightful treat upon arrival. The room was spotless and newly renovated. The windows overlooked the street, yet the room was completely quiet - there was no noise from outside or from neighboring rooms. Thick blackout curtains ensured restful sleep. One unique feature was the presence of two windows in the room. If you’re staying with a partner, it’s perfect for taking charming photos: your partner can lean out of one window with a cup of coffee while you capture the moment from the other, with picturesque views of a Parisian street in the background. The elevator was spacious, featured a mirror, and operated smoothly. My room was on the 4th floor - every detail had clearly been thought out with care. If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to add a small refrigerator for keeping drinks cool. Although the hotel is rated three stars, the level of service and the ambiance easily surpass many four-star establishments. Stylish, immaculate, and full of character!

The location in the 9th arrondissement – equidistant from Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est – makes it a convenient choice if you are arriving via Eurostar or other train into northern Paris. The receptionists were welcoming and helpful. Thankfully, there is a small elevator in the lobby. I booked a comfort single for my three night stay and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was basically a double. It was a decent price for Paris, a notoriously expensive city. The room was pleasantly decorated and comfortable with a work desk, kettle for tea & coffee, TV (no English channels), open hanger for clothes and free WiFi. There was no luggage rack, so my suitcase lay open on the floor. The bathroom was compact but fine. The only negative was that the small entry to the shower had no door or curtain and the floor flooded every time. They seem to forget that, once a body is in place, water bounces off into the room. Also, the wall-attached hairdryer was hilarious: known as an ‘elephant,' it's basically useless. Breakfast was included with my room and, for a continental, the selection was good. The breakfast room itself was stylish and had a good view over the street. A nice bonus was the complimentary afternoon drinks and snacks on offer in the lobby every day. I will stay here again when next in Paris.

We stayed here for two nights bookending a trip to Epernay in between. The location is excellent. Lots of bars/restaurants in the area which felt safe. Not far from Sacre Coeur and Metro stops. Our first check in was not overly friendly but professional enough. Our room on the first floor had an extra bed in so it was a slightly larger room. The AC worked but was very noisy. The bathroom was dated with an ineffective hairdryer and a shower that ensures the floor gets very wet. The bed was comfortable however and the room was clean. Our second check in was much better; very friendly and we were offered a coffee before leaving our bags for the day as we checked in very early before the room was ready. This room on the 3rd floor was smaller and cramped, the AC didn't work and the bed not so comfortable. It was OK for one night. We didn't take breakfast on either stay and there are plenty of options nearby. There are free soft drinks and cake between 3pm and 5pm each day which is a nice touch after a busy day walking around Paris. We booked a taxi for early on our departure day with reception. Unfortunately this was not done and we had to flag one down a few blocks away. Not a disaster but a little stressful if you're running short on time. Despite a few issues this was good value for money choice and I'd probably return for a one night stay.
