Only had a night here before flying out of CDG Airport the next morning. It was the 6th Accor/ALL Hotel we had stayed at over a month or so traveling. The Negatives. Very casual personal who checked us in. No greeting or chat. No thanks for staying and your loyalty to our Brand. Hardly gave me eye contact. A machine could have been more interested!!! I felt I was interfering into his day. Bar doesn’t open until 4pm. We went elsewhere for a drink. On our return there must have been a sewer overflow or similar at the Hotel. The minute we stepped back into the place there was the most revolting smell right through the ground floor. It was terrible. Smelt like raw sewage!! We went up to our room and it was on our floor as well. On asking one of the staff he said they were waiting for a technician as things were very bad. If I was the manager or supervisor I would be explaining the situation to guests. We waited in our room for a while and then went to the bar, it was still smelling but not as bad but we decided to go to another hotel next door for dinner as we were a bit put off from it all. Air conditioning wasn’t good. The Positives Great location for the Terminals and easy access. Good size room and all clean. Unfortunately…….I will be staying somewhere else next time. There are many choices in the proximity.

Not one of our better experiences of an airport hotel. Our initial room had light flickering and a running but not flushable toilet. We dutifully went back down in the very noisy lift - and the staff member immediately allocated another room. On the plus side this one had working lights and toilet. It was however seriously in need of maintenance - which meant we used deodorant and face cream to oil the ridiculously creaking toilet door - doors had chipped paint and there was little in the room that wasn’t nailed down. We thought a tea or coffee might be a good idea after 18 hrs travel but we were told by receptionist that in France no creamer (or milk) ever comes with rooms and we should go to the bar/restaurant. We did. We asked. The reply “We are closed - come back in 45 mins”. Dinner at the restaurant was fine although luckily we arrived around 6.40 to be told they weren’t yet open but it was imminent. Why an airport hotel only starts meal at 6.45pm defies belief but once underway the meal and service was good. So I’d advise anyone to seriously consider alternatives until Novotel address the maintenance and related issues.

The 2 good things about this property are the access and location convenience and the smooth check in process. I was, however somewhat shocked at the value of the rooms. I see rooms advertised for very reasonable rates but the night we stayed, the lowest rate available was over 400 EUR / $800 AUD for a "standard" room which was very basic indeed. Ripped towels, moldy bathrooms. The restaurant downstairs was dirty. Perhaps the other rooms are nicer as the property was very busy with lots of business clientele. Next time I would try the nearby Ibis or Hilton.
