“Rock Star Service”

This is a call out to Ishmil at the concierge desk. What an amazing person. Watching him dealing with others was a lesson in professional service. Talking with him was a joy. If management is awake they know how lucky they are.

“You pay for the convenience”

Second time staying here for an early morning flight. Very convenient from the train and easy access to the airport terminals. Quite expensive. Good restaurant and bar in the lobby. Skip the overpriced breakfast and eat in the terminal

“Comfortable Stay”

We spent two nights at this Sheraton CDG, and found the stay was very good. The hotel staff was professional and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable.

“Not sound proofed inside of hotel”

I chose this hotel purely for proximity to airport terminal and train station. In early May stayed one night, then in late May stayed a second night. For my first stay, I arrived 10am and asked for early check in. Immediately I was offered an upgrade to Executive Suite if I paid an extra 85 Euros. I felt pressured to accept this offer as early check in was essential for me. The upgrade I paid did include buffet breakfast which was normally 35-41 Euros, and access to Executive lounge so I accepted. The Executive Lounge was so dingy, it reminded me of a construction workers lunch room. Unbelievable. No person explained between 5.30pm and 7.30pm there was a staff member serving snacks, I discovered this at the tail end of snack service so what useless value for money the upgrade was. On my second stay, I did not pay for an upgrade. I was given room 307 near the lifts. Although the hotel prides itself on being soundproofed from the aircraft, the noise coming from the elevator inside of the hotel was appalling. As I was so close to the lift, I could hear the whirring up and down at all times. To make things worse, the lift screeched like a chirping bird when going up and down. I attempted to change rooms, but then realised the screeching was ringing through the whole hotel because of the atrium design. In the end, I didn’t change rooms, as the screech pervaded the entire hotel. Instead I stuffed wax earplugs into my ears to relieve myself of the constant irritation. I did report the lift noise to concierge and porter, despite it being obvious to all, which was of course screeching and whirring throughout my whole stay. The bed and pillows were ok, as was the room size. The shower spray seemed clogged and only a narrow amount of shower spray came out, it was the most horrible shower I had had throughout more than 3 weeks in France in 6 different hotels. It feels that this hotel has the bones to be wonderful like its glory days of the past, but it is not now.
