“Great Stay”

Very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect as it is very proximate to the train station and most of the city is in reach either by walk or by close tram and bus stations.

Comfortable bed for tall person, separate room with shower and toilet, very clean and very little road noise. Breakfast is fine but more fresh fruit (grapefruit/melon etc) would be good. Interesting place mats with local cycle routes.Very accomodating for early start at 06.00 with breakfast ready promptly. Highly recommended.

“Spot on ”

Simple put it’s the perfect hotel, right opposite the train and bus stations, short walk to Angers centre. Bars and cafes within metres. Staff so very polite and cleaners with very limited English (we have zero french) where very thoughtful and rooms spotless every day. We will return for sure.

“Basic but clean accommodations”

There is a large parking garage next to the station for your car and you can unload your car directly in front of the hotel before parking it if you pull partially up on the sidewalk. Small hotel located across the street from the train station. There is a large parking garage next to the station for your car and you can unload your car directly in front of the hotel before parking it if you pull partially up on the sidewalk. The location is good- only a 10 minute walk to reach the historical areas. The reception area is small as is the breakfast room. The hotel has a lift but only 2 of the seven rooms on the first floor are directly across from it. The other 5 rooms (like ours) were accessible only by the stairs although the reception staff were helpful in carrying luggage. The room was very small but clean. There is only a small rod available to hang clothes. Bedside “stands” were a 4x6 inch shelf. There was a power outlet only under one of them. There was a very small desk with 2 outlets- if you unplug the coffee maker. However the light over the desk was by far the brightest we had on our trip and greatly appreciated. The bathroom was also minuscule but had adequate storage space around the sink and a small shelf for toiletries. The shower was powerful but cruise ship sized. They supplied shower gel from a wall mounted dispenser. Surprisingly they provided a box of facial tissue- none of the 4 star hotels we had stayed in prior to this had tissues. Getting to the toilet took a bit of contortions but it worked well. The breakfast was pretty basic- a choice of breads and pastries, two cheeses and some meats, yogurt, fruit, two cereals. They had a hot water bath if you wanted to boil eggs. Coffee was just a pot of American style coffee - no French coffees were offered. The staff was friendly and helpful. This simply is basic no frills accommodations- good for a one night stopover but too small to tolerate for longer stays.
