We stayed at this magnificent hotel for four nights. Un unforgettable experience from the beginning to end. The property is beautiful and stylish. The grounds in front are gorgeous. Our deluxe room on the second floor was large, luxurious and beautifully decorated in calming colours. The bathroom was large, modern and beautiful. The breakfast was exceptional and is located in the Amour Blanc restaurant on the property. It overlooks the river and the other bank and is a spectacular view of the old town of Blois. All staff are super friendly and eager to help. The bar on the first floor, same floor as reception, is beautiful. Special shout out to Remi at the bar. He always welcomed us with a big smile and engaging conversation. Thank you to all staff for making our stay special. Due to fire that happened in August the spa was closed and was a bit of a disappointment but the positives at this beautiful hotel outweighed the spa being closed. Would love to come back.

The view from Blois from across the river, the exceptional food, the luxurious hotel room, or the magnificent scent that greets you the moment you walk into this hotel - I don't know what it was, but this hotel truly cast a spell on my husband and I from the moment we arrived in Blois! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and luxurious, the food at breakfast was bountiful and delicious, and dinner at Amour Blanc was absolutely exceptional. We loved this hotel so much and cannot wait to return to this magical hotel and city!

We spent three nights here as a couple, celebrating our 25th anniversary and could not recommend more this splendid property. Obviously there is no such thing as perfection, so let's start with the cons: we were given a corner room on the third floor, which sits inside the roof of the building. As a result, two walls are inclined and the two windows (one inclined, one a dormer window) are small and do not allow much natural light in. Certainly rooms on lower floors do not have these issues. Regardless, the room is comfortable and tasteful, although not particularly spacious, and sheets, towels, pillows are all top quality. The TV did not have access to streaming accounts and only two cable channels in English. One side of the bed did not have power outlets. The shower is inside the bath tub, which is normal for European hotels, but this bathtub is particularly deep and slippery, with may be a hazard to older guests or people with mobility limitations. Finally, a hotel at this price should offer complimentary parking to its guests. On the positive side, the property is beautiful, everything is impeccably clean, all staff are amazingly polite and helpful, the food is excellent and the view from the breakfast restaurant across the river to charming Blois is worth a million Dollars. Anyone staying here must dine at lease once at the multi starred Christophe Hay restaurant. Much more than a meal, eating here is a gastronomic ceremony that lasts over 3 hours. Finally, a big shout out to the concierge Kim. She made our stay here unforgettable and worth of our special date.

Fleur de Loire has aremany positives but also some important negatives. We had a beautiful room - a Prestige Suite - and in fact the pictures on their website don't even do it justice! It is much nicer than it looks online! It is large and comfortable room with many places to sit. The lighting could be better (the room is rather dark). The bed and bedding very comfortable. The temperature in the room was good. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable. Nice large jacuzzi tub with plenty of hot water. A separate shower. The property is lovely and well kept. I loved the outdoor pool with its comfortable chairs, which I enjoyed in the afternoon. (Although there are only a few lounge chairs.) We also found it really helpful and convenient that we could purchase tickets for the Chateaus directly from the front desk This was easy and saved us a lot of time. So, there are many things to like about the hotel. But there were several things that we did not like. The first was that they are so Spartan for certain things - like drinking glasses (just two) and water (1 bottle) -- we never had enough water or glasses. We support the conservation of towels, but that is different than simply not having enough towels -- so, if your towel got wet there is no back-up and we had no small towels to wash in the shower. They cleaned up the room very nicely twice, and at our convenience. However, when we checked in I had requested only regular coffee and plenty of it, yet I had to ask for coffee over and over (so they do not keep records). But the real negative was when we checked out. We travel with a freezer pack for medication and asked the hotel to store it for us. But they had no record of it (!) and no could not find it when we left. Finally after some delay (and rejecting the offer of ice etc), they gave us freezer packs of their own. How do you loose something a guest has asked you to store? We also were further delayed upon check out since no one answered the phone at reception when we were calling to ask for help with our baggage, so we had to carry our own bags and further delayed when we waited for them to get our car. So, overall a promising property but they have some work to do to bring their service up to Relais and Chateau standards.
