This hotel was a fabulous oasis on the edge of the city. The beautifully presented welcome letter was a really nice touch. Beautiful themed gardens, fabulously landscaped with lots to explore. Our Japanese themed room was just stunning and huge. The remote controlled Japanese toilet caused much hilarity! The bar was comfy, the decor dark and cosy. Our evening meal was simple but tasty and enjoyable. There was lots of art to discover indoors and outside. We sadly didn't have time to use the pool due to its limited opening hours but it looked lovely. Breakfast was absolutely excellent, a huge choice of buffet and freshly cooked options, well stocked and well presented. Service was good throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here. Car park handy too.

The most stunning hotel and stayed in the best room we have ever stayed in. It was perfect in every way. The staff were excellent especially Alex who went above and beyond to assist us. The grounds were outstanding with the gardens and pool. The only negative I have is that this stay was a little honeymoon after our wedding in France and I had informed the hotel of this multiple times yet on arrival there was no mention of this or of any acknowledgment during our stay in the form of a gesture which is disappointing in a 5* hotel. But otherwise a perfect stay and will definitely return

“Chateau Magnifique!!”

Awesome property.....probably the best I have stayed in. Once you step in you will be blown away and I promise I am not on commission!

Easily accessible by autoroute ,the entrance to this chateau is wonderful ,the metal railed car park to the front and well ahead of the property less so. Easily accessible by autoroute ,the entrance to this chateau is wonderful ,the metal railed car park to the front and well ahead of the property less so. If the railings were to be covered in a more aesthetically pleasing floral ,or artificial leaves it might be easier on the eye. But after that we were greeted by a staff member at the gate who asked us to park right in front and he unloaded the car as we booked in. Once inside the property one can see the eye to detail of the various artefacts that have been amassed and placed around its halls and rooms. It has been described by some as “chintzy” ,but I viewed the property as decadent and “a nice place to be”. Our room was inspired by “Paris” and was large in area and offered a fantastic view across the front. Its bathroom was a technological marvel ,automatic lights and toilet seat ,Dyson hair drier and proximity tap operation. And I believe a heated floor. My wife made use of the pool on two occasions,but we did not use the spa. We also walked around the gardens at the rear ,with their differently themed displays. This really is a fantastic walk and much work has been done here ,that should not go unnoticed. The effort to create the various themed gardens must have been great ,and not to be found in most accommodations. We had breakfast each of the four mornings we stayed at the hotel and service was a little hit and miss…but my porridge was lovely and my wife enjoyed her omelettes. Often plates would be left once we had finished with them and we felt the attentiveness of the staff for a five star hotel was a little lacking. Though the key thing to mention here is that the staff were ALL exceptionally pleasant. We had one evening meal and this was pleasurable and the wines and spirits offered in the gorgeous bar were second to none. There were a number of events taking place during our stay ,some might find this a distraction ,but on the whole they did not make the Chateau any less peaceful for me. It has only a small number of rooms ,so at times it made the place feel a little less “empty”. Overall a good find and a lovely place to stay ,why do I know this ? Because we were very sad to leave :(
