Lovely modern interior that respects the architecture of the original church. Very helpful staff and comfortable rooms. This hotel particularly appealed to our teenage son, who is often difficult to please. Its location next to the Botanical gardens and very close to the city centre was perfect. The restaurants suggested by the hotel were also good and the continental breakfast was excellent.

“A great team performance”

A boutique hotel converted 14 years ago from an old church, is well situated opposite a beautiful park. The staff at SOZO are a special team. A boutique hotel converted 14 years ago from an old church, is well situated opposite a beautiful park. The staff at SOZO are a special team. We arrived at the hotel from La Rochelle, where I had spent 24 hours in the hospital there, after a freak accident on a beach. The injury I sustained meant that I was on crutches, so we couldn’t use the room we’d booked, which had stairs in it. They made sure we had an alternative room, even though the hotel was fully booked, and took care of both my wife and I, who were stressed and exhausted. We love the city of Nantes, which we have visited before and hope to again. Next time we visit Nantes, SOZO will definitely be on our itinerary.

There was a lovely handwritten card welcoming us to the hotel, which we appreciated. Fresh bottle of water was put into our room every day, which was lovely as it was very hot outside. The hotel's décor was interesting and fun. Very modern. Rooms were spotless. The bed was comfortable. There were staff there to help at breakfast which was nice. View from room was very pretty. It was a chapel, that was converted into a hotel, so it has a lot of character. It is situated next to a lovely park, however, slightly away from the parts of Nantes, we wanted to explore.

This is a very beautiful hotel converted from a church, close to the train station. The air conditioning in the bedroom was powerful, even in Nantes where it was 43 degrees Celsius, it was still fine. The bed, bathroom, and coffee machine were very clean. The design of pulling the power outlet out from the desk was very creative. The lobby doesn't have air conditioning, hopefully, it will be added someday.
