This is our 2nd time staying with Anneli. We visited Vouvray last Fall and really liked it so we came back again and got the same room. It's really 2 rooms, 1 big room with a queen bed and plenty of room to make yourself at home. There is a 2nd smaller room with twin beds that we used more as a dressing room/place to keep clothes and bags. Anneliese puts on a very nice breaky with an assortment of breads and croissants, jams and juice and a decent cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer). There's no reason to go anywhere else. It is within walking distance of a great restaurant and good size grocery store.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights on our road trip south from Paris to Madrid. The accommodations are just perfect. We had the ground floor room off the kitchen which was excellent. It has an additional room that could sleep 2 children but we wanted a ground floor room with a big bed, so we paid a few e tra Euros for it. It was wonderful. Next year when we do an in depth tour of France for 5 weeks, we will try and get it again (& probably stay for about a week). As you need way more time to see the area with all the chateau and sights close by in Tours and the surrounding valley than a couple days. The Finnish couple that run the b n b are super nice. The breaky they put on is also super. Plenty of off-street parking. The b n b is also super secure. I thought the area seemed very safe and friendly too.

This delightful chambers d’hote, bed and breakfast, was one of our first stays on our recent French road trip, and what an amazing start it was! This is the most delightful old establishment with a generous and knowledgeable hostess. The history of the place is fascinating, with part of the premises in caves in the cliff which have been lived in. Our hostess told us all the stories and was happy for us to explore, telling us the way up to the swimming pool on the roof! What a view from there! Our bedroom was the one in the pictures with all the beams, it was like staying on a stage set of the Three Musketeers! Very comfortable, with a good showers room. But another highlight was the breakfast which had everything you could think of in it, perfect unlimited coffee and local produce. We met two lovely American couples and had great discussions round the big breakfast table. We would love to go back if we are in the Loire again, we couldn’t have been more warmly welcomed or better looked after.

Have no enough words to express my feelings about this B&B. Everything is great. Location, owner, building itself, just everything. The most kind and helpful owner ever have during my trips, the breakfast is something absolutely special. The premise itself is a piece of history, about 1000 years old. The view from the pool is unbelievable. The location is great, close to most attractions. Highly recommended.
