“Location ”

Quite a new hotel this one. Location near train station which was very convenient. I used the bus station next door. The town Centre is only a short walk away. Very comfortable and quiet. Evening meals if required and breakfast is extra.

Nice soundproofed room and room was allocated on the top floor as requested. The staff were very friendly except the man on reception at night. The lifts were out of action throughout our 4 night stay so this can be awkward for older guests who have to walk up many stairs. The bed was very c… more

Nice soundproofed room and room was allocated on the top floor as requested. The staff were very friendly except the man on reception at night. The lifts were out of action throughout our 4 night stay so this can be awkward for older guests who have to walk up many stairs. The bed was very comfortable, nice to have blackout shutters on the outside of the windows. I'm vegan so breakfast was extremely limited for me. A bit of fruit , maybe bread and some mixed fruit salad. There are eggs, bacon and sausages for others plus croissants. I did love the coffee. It would be nice to have vegan sausages and possibly beans on offer. I'd definitely come back though.

Situated just 100 mts from the railway station may put some people off. It shouldn't because during our two night stay we didn't hear a single train. Situated just 100 mts from the railway station may put some people off. It shouldn't because during our two night stay we didn't hear a single train. It is also only a 15 minute walk to the town centre. The hotel and room were spotlessly clean and the reception staff extremely helpful. It's worth paying €7 for the parking because there isn't any other than in the station car park. If you are handicapped I would suggest that you don't use the handicapped parking slot. It's not easy to get out of. The room was spacious and and clean. The bathroom was very large but if designed as a wet room it would help to have a squeegee as there isn't a central drain only the one in the shower. Breakfast was excellant, continental also sausage, bacon and scrambled egg. The restaurant, like so many others isn't open in the evenings at weekends. Good value for money.
