“Wonderful”

A charming night stop at this glorious hotel after driving through the Gorge du Tarn en route to the coast.Room and amenities were of a high standard and outside areas so beautiful on the river.Dinner in the hotel restaurant was also excellent.Highly recommend.

In this idyllic spot in the Gorges du Tarn, this family-run hotel is superbly situated for hiking, for visiting the beauty spots of the region, and for tasting the best food in the world. The home-made sheep's yogurt for breakfast, freshly-picked local cherries, home-made jams, and tempting buffet, on the riverside terrace when it is warm enough, provides a fantastic start to every day. Our second-floor room, with a view over the river and the cliffs on the opposite bank, was quiet and relaxing. We watched the birds fluttering by and the sky change colours at the end of the day. The dinner in the hotel was gourmet, totally delicious and imaginative, the local wines were excellent, and we also tried out other restaurants that the hotel recommended, where the food was also very good. The staff were always helpful and friendly. This is a hotel we would love to come back to, especially in the summer, when the pool is open and we have more opportunities to enjoy the riverside garden.

We booked this hotel as a stopover on our way back north but it became the best part of our week away. Staying a second night was essential. Everything about the hotel was lovely. Location by the Tarn, spacious room overlooking the river and a special mention for the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional and efficient without being at all formal or stuffy. A pleasure to deal with. The restaurant was also excellent, superb food and service, good value bearing in mind the quality. And of course the Tarn Gorges scenery which is stunning. Highly recommended.

“Sophisticated hotel surrounded by nature ”

Hotel de la Muse et du Rozier is beautifully situated, surrounded by nature. It is right alongside the river in the Gorge du Tarn. Hotel de la Muse et du Rozier is beautifully situated, surrounded by nature. It is right alongside the river in the Gorge du Tarn. The public spaces, inside and out, are sophisticated but comfortable. The rooms look out on the river and are generously sized. You can open the window and be serenaded by the sound of the river. The food and wine are good; the staff are efficient and friendly. If you don't want to eat in the hotel every night there are restaurants within walking distance in le Rozier, but they are not always open. The only downside of the hotel for us is that the duvets and pillows are quite heavy so we did but sleep as well as we would have liked, and the breakfast is overpriced. It's in a beautiful part of France, with wonderful walks or drives to be enjoyed.
