Great accommodation with just about enough space for the 11 of us in our party (we took an inflatable mattress for one of our kids so they didn’t have to use the sofa bed). It’s recently been done up with new curtains and furniture. The position in brilliant - you only need to walk about 20 yards to get to the piste. There’s a garage with space to store ski gear. There was constant hot water and the heaters work well. The views from the house are fab - there are three balconies where it's great to sit and look at them. It would have been useful for some basic supplies like salt and pepper to have been provided (surely previous groups left theirs? We left ours) and some cleaning materials (ditto). The one really annoying thing was the 288 euro cleaning charge. Yes, you read that right, 288 euros!!! So we obviously cleaned it ourselves but if it had been a more reasonable amount, we would have been happy to pay it and it would have made for a more relaxing end to the holiday.

After coming here for the last three seasons we were happy to see the improvements that had been done. Last year the place was beginning to be a bit run down, but it seems that Severine is doing a good job trying to get the chalet back in shape. The location is really great for ski in and out and the chalets are good to share as a family. The help we got while being there and the check in/out, was quick and nice. Thank you for that! To improve the cabins it would be great to have heaters/storage for the ski and skiboots (instead of trying to get them to dry inside the cabin), more hangers for the outerwear and dresser for clothes on the top floor. All in all a much better experience than the year before. The chalet is in better shape and with the energy and work Severine puts into it, we are hopeful that next year will be even better.

“Almost ski in ski out”

We really liked the Chalet and we were plesantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews. The beds were vert comfortable, The kitchen had everything we needed. Ww were greated by the Chalet rep who is improving the Chalet as there were some minor faults. We woukd definately stay again.

We have just returned from a week long summer break in Isola 2000, staying in the Madame Vacances Les Chalets de la Diva 'Sofia'. The accommodation met our expectations in all respects, first impressions always count, so thank you to the staff for meeting us promptly after our drive up from Nice airport (and whose support was excellent throughout our stay), and to all concerned for leaving the chalet immaculate for us. There were only three in our group, so we were able to rattle around the three storey chalet without any difficulty! There are a lot of stairs, well it is a three storey building, so families with very young children should be aware of the risk prior to booking. The living room is comfortable with good quality furniture. Indeed, the quality of the furniture is good throughout, with lots of storage space. The living room opens onto a decent sized south facing balcony, bathed in sunlight from 10:00 until it set behind the mountains to the west. The open plan kitchen is fine for a week long stay, with a large fridge, efficient cooker and dishwasher fitted. There is a small breakfast bar (room for three) or a dining table with seating for eight. The TV has a moderate selection of channels (no English language ones such as BBC World or CNN) but that was no problem. Thankfully we brought a couple of our own games, don't assume there will be games hidden in the cupboards as in other chalets, certainly we have stayed in, because there aren't. And do note, there was no wifi during our stay. Actually, that was a welcome IT detox, but if you really need wifi, then it is available in the shopping gallery. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, and within the bathrooms you can find either a bath or a shower. Hot water was not an issue, and towel drying racks are fitted as standard. We had no issues getting a good night's sleep. The chalet is located on the valley side, and I can see from previous reviews that can be an issue. If you are young or fit it shouldn't be during the summer when the snow is not a factor. It's easy to get to the gallery for the shops, though if you need to stock up from the Sherpa supermarket, I accept it's probably better to drive than carry shopping bags back up the slope. However, it was an easy walk down to the restaurants at the Front des Neige immediately below the chalet, and equally it was easy to access the waking routes to the head of, or the north side of the valley. This was an enjoyable option in the evening and offered a high chance of catching sight of marmots and chamois. And being out of the centre meant less noise from traffic or late night revellers. So for us, the chalet worked brilliantly. There are caveats as I have pointed out above, but they didn't really affect us, and we would happily stay here again and would love to ski here in the winter.
