My husband and I stayed here, and overall this hotel did not disappoint. We had a lot of fun! There was plenty of entertainment included, which was a great bonus since most activities weren’t an extra charge. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and we loved seeing all the natural wildlife throughout the property. It really added to the experience. The only downside was the food. The buffets were quite expensive, and unfortunately the quality didn’t match the price. We also experienced some construction during our stay, which was a bit disruptive at times. Even with those drawbacks, we still enjoyed our visit and appreciated the beautiful setting and all the activities the resort had to offer.

We arrived at the charming and delightful reception lobby to witness the spectacular setting of the hotel with its exotic and carefully manicured gardens and impressive views of the coral reef and the dramatic island of Moorea in the distance. The location and setting is magnificent. The pools, turtle sanctuary and lagoonarium are particularly enjoyable features and spread across a large and inviting landscape with some exquisite peaceful and private sunbathing spots. During our two nights' stay we enjoyed a balcony room with special and dramatic views of Moorea. The room was very clean and though perhaps slightly dated and on the smaller side, it was perfectly functional with a fridge on hand, guest laundry and drinking water and ice facilities readily available. The vast majority of staff were friendly (although some of the wait staff were rude at times) although on the slow side and forgetful but they were catering for a large number and 'variety' of international guests. The reception staff and Maitre D (a young French lady who was very conversant) were particular standouts from the rest in terms of their exceptional hospitality skills. The food and beverage offerings here are by no means cheap and so are an area requiring improvement. It was particularly disappointing to discover that the Le Lotus restaurant was not available during our visit due to renovations. The breakfasts are however good value with a large range of choices catering for every palate. The evening meals are quite the contrast with a limited offering both in terms of range of choice, portion sizes and quality. We felt that this aspect was overpriced and reflects badly on the overall guest experience, as does the extortionately priced beverage ranges. Overall, a good hotel that could be vastly improved by attention to wait staff skills and pricing structure around the food and beverage offerings. That aside, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in what is a luxurious environment.

We stayed here twice on our trip. 1 night when we arrived before our transfer to another island & then 4 nights before we left. Excellent location to airport, 5 minute taxi ride. Breakfast was great, Service was good, a bit slow sometimes as it got busier. Food & drinks are expensive if your money is not comparable to USD. We spent 4 nights in one of the premium overwater bungalows which I wouldn’t do again. Beautiful rooms, very clean with amazing views but it was so windy the whole time that we never got to use them properly. The sea was rough the whole time & sometimes you couldn’t sit on the deck. I would save your OWB money for Moorea or Bora Bora. You also get 1 x free minibar, which has soft drinks & juice & 2 cans of beer but no wine.. I would have expected even a small bottle for the price we paid, as other IHG resorts have even given us Champagne. The 1st night we stayed in an ocean view room. Was nice but not one of the renovated ones. Try & request one that is renovated, as they are much nicer. They are currently renovating one block (noise was fine) & have one to go.

Post-cruise stay for a night. Check-in seemed to take ages. The gardens and views are fantastic. The room was just an average hotel room with a functional bathroom.
