I booked a double room at this Hotel for 3 nights (Solo Occupancy). Although, the furniture is not the most modern, is is generally in keeping with the hotel. The bed was very comfy. There was a safe, mini-bar, TV and a few plug sockets (By the bed as well). The room was clean and was attended to on a daily basis. My room overlooked a side street, but there was no noise from the outside. The bathroom had a walk in shower and was ample size for me and again was clean. I had breakfast, including in my room rate and there was a good selection of hot and cold meats, scrambled egg, cereal, fresh fruit, juices etc. There is a small bar area, which was reasonably priced. All the staff that I had interactions with, were very friendly and helpful and as an added bonus, I was provided with a free travel pass to use on public transport within the local area. I used this to go exploring. The hotel is located about 5-10min walk from the main station and within a very short walk of the shops and bars. I had not complaints of issues during my stay and would consider staying here again, if I came to Konstanz.

The Graf Zeppelin Hotel is a rather good hotel in Constance run as a going concern in a beautiful building in historicism style built in the first half of the nineteenth century. On the front façade there is the imperial eagle with the Prussian Hohenzoller shield as well as the coat of arms of the city of Constance. It's very well located by the historical center of the city. The room I was allocated is comfortable to some extent. The bed is placed in a diagonal position in relation to the bedroom walls, which isn't a problem in itself. It can be so if one gets up during the night without switching on the lights. The bedroom isn't very cozy owing to a complete lack of decoration, the walls colour, which is rather cold light, as well as the bed position. At any rate, the bed is rather comfortable, the mattress having the right toughness for a good rest, and that's what really matters the most. What is actually very uncomfortable is the safe use. The safe is in a wardrobe finding itself in an antechamber upon entering the room. I's on the wardrobe bottom, nearly at the floor level. That causes one to kneel down and bend in an exaggerate way in order to open or close the safe or put valuables or money inside. It's really very hard. The breakfast is very good. Everything offered for that meal is of a high quality and very tasty. Besides, the breakfast room is very nice and superbly well decorated. Having breakfast there is really a good way to start the day. The staff members are very kind and friendly; only the head of the receptionists is sometimes somewhat unpleasant. Notwithstanding that, when she is asked for some information about the city monuments or the most remarkable places to visit, she becomes then rather helpful and even kind. Taking everything into consideration, the hotel concerned is a recommendable one to stay in Constance. Staying there is a good experience.

Gorgeous frescoes caught out attention while passing and we decided to seek a little refreshment within. A charming hostelry, staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. In what is a house with an eventful back-story. Back in 1874 it was launched as hostelry. Traversing a time as a business premises it latterly once again opened as a grand hotel.

The room’s sound isolation was quite poor, and I struggled to sleep through the night due to constant noise from outside, the corridors, and the lift. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, making it easy to reach main attractions, but finding parking was quite a hassle and took extra time and effort.
