Excellent friendly staff that are polite and very helpful. Any questions I had were answered quickly and comprehensively. The self-service breakfast gives you a good selection to start your day. There is a restaurant also on site, but I didn't use it. The bar was good with the barman able to knock up a multitude of cocktails, from what I witnessed.  My room was spacious, clean, comfortable and perfect for me. There was a small fridge also where you could store some food and drink.  There is car parking available for a fee, I'd advise informing them when you book, but it is a reasonable charge, in my opinion. There are also garages that can be booked, I only became aware of this on arrival and seeing cycle tourists storing their bicycles in there. Right by the promenade for pleasant walks and easy access to numerous restaurants, it is an ideal choice in my book. Would I stay again? Without a doubt. For your information, for the local tourist hotel tax, you are  required to pay you are entitled to a BODO card which gives you free travel on most buses and trains over a huge area, these are picked up from the hotel reception. The public transport system is excellent and the hotel is just a short walk from the main bus and train station. I definitely recommend this.

Absolutely fabulous place. Our room was huge with all modern fittings. The location is perfect being just opposite the lake, great for our small dog. Lockable garages are available for guests. Absolutely fabulous place. Our room was huge with all modern fittings. The location is perfect being just opposite the lake, great for our small dog. Lockable garages are available for guests. The breakfast was to die for, continental and even English bacon and scrambled eggs. I leave this bit to last, but it is the most important thing. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They seem to be a young team but treated us and our puppy like family. I was so impressed that I tried to book a second night but they were full booked.

“Plaza Hotel review 31 Years Later”

This was our third stop on our trip through Europe and I'll say that this is a decent hotel. Rooms are in good shape, the Wi-Fi could have worked better than it did, goes in and out. This was our third stop on our trip through Europe and I'll say that this is a decent hotel. Rooms are in good shape, the Wi-Fi could have worked better than it did, goes in and out. The hotel does offer parking if you have a car. 15 Euro per day, it's a garage and the location is down the street. The breakfast portions on the eggs for the two days when we were there was very scarce. I was in the Friedrichshafen area and this hotel over 31 years ago and this area has unfortunately has gone downhill a lot. Very disappointing.
