Tucked neatly away from the bustle of touristy Heidelberg, this is a wonderful location to base yourself in this beautiful city! Clean, well appointed and quiet, the property is exceptionally well taken care of. The breakfast buffet has amazing selection and well worth partaking in. While it is a bit of a walk to the historic old town and Schloss Heidelberg, it is not taxing and provides, again, for some comfortable distance from the busiest areas. I will not hesistate to stay here again!

We chose the NH due to its proximity to the station and the old town. It is about a 10-15 min walk to the edge of the old town and 30 mins to the market square. Our room was spacious, well lit, clean with a small balcony ( which we didn’t use unfortunately). The bathroom was well appointed but the shower was over the bath and not as powerful as we would have liked. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast selection was excellent with a wide choice plus options that you could order. We had a cocktail in the bar on one evening and they were excellent.

We've really enjoyed our stay at NH Heidelberg. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. We had a quiet room with good airconditioning. The bar and lobby at this hotel are great. The bar has a great ambiance to have some drinks after a long day, while the lobby feels like a cosy living room. After a good night sleep we had the amazing breakfast buffet offered at the hotel. This really made this city hotel stand out for us. The wide choice of items at the buffet, complemented with options that are made to order was excellent. The service, the ambiance and the breakfast made us feel like we were at a 5-star luxury resort. +Would visit again / would recommend.

We stayed in a Junior Suite and had an overall pleasant experience, with some excellent highlights as well as a few areas that could be improved. What We Liked The breakfast was exceptional, offering an extensive variety of high-quality options. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to the metro. Cleanliness was consistently maintained throughout the entrance, public areas, and our room. We enjoyed a nice view from our room. The hotel kindly accommodated a one-hour late check-out. Numerous restaurants and food outlets are located within walking distance. Complimentary drinks at the front desk were a thoughtful touch. Areas for Improvement The room lighting was too dim. The toilet and bathroom were surprisingly cramped for a Junior Suite. Our room was located quite far from the elevators. The sauna did not meet expectations, and the steam room was out of service. Guests should be informed about unavailable facilities before booking. The gym equipment was not well maintained. Only one complimentary ice cream was provided, although the reservation was for three guests. Complimentary amenities should be offered to all registered guests. At the front desk, used glasses for the complimentary drinks were not replaced promptly when clean glasses ran out, and staff did not seem to notice or address the issue. Tip If you plan to book directly with the hotel, compare prices on online booking platforms first. The hotel may be willing to match or negotiate the rate based on lower prices found elsewhere. Overall Although the hotel is officially rated as a 4-star property, based on our experience I would not personally rate it as a true 4-star stay. The condition of the wellness facilities, gym, room layout, and some aspects of service did not fully meet the expectations of this category. However, the breakfast was simply outstanding. The quality, variety, and presentation were exceptional and unmatched, making it one of the best hotel breakfasts we have experienced. It was the standout feature that made our stay enjoyable despite the shortcomings.
