Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Plenty of choices at breakfast. Great location for public transport and sightseeing. We would stay here again if travelling to Augsburg.

My first impression of the hotel was positive. The exterior was well-maintained, and the signage made it easy to spot. Access to the hotel was simple, and the lobby had a welcoming atmosphere, setting a good tone for the stay. Additionally, the location was fantastic, right along a major street in Augsburg and next to public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Our room was surprisingly spacious and thoughtfully designed. Upon entering, there was a convenient entryway with a closet including a safe, built-in luggage rack, and hooks for jackets and bags. The bathroom was well-equipped with a tub-shower combo, a heated towel rack, a sink, and plenty of supplies. The main room had a comfortable couch, a table with two chairs, a built-in desk, a TV, and two single beds with nightstands, plus an additional pull-down single bed for extra guests. While there was no air conditioning, the fully opening windows allowed a refreshing breeze, and the wall heater kept the room warm when needed. The room and linens were all clean and comfortable. The hotel’s breakfast area was another highlight. The hours were convenient, and the selection was fantastic, featuring a variety of breads, cereals, fruits, cheeses, meats, and traditional German breakfast items. They had boiled eggs ready to go, and you could also order eggs cooked to your liking. The coffee and tea options were plentiful as well. The service staff was warm and welcoming, greeting us kindly every morning and making the experience even better. Overall, the value for money was excellent, especially considering the hotel’s prime location next to public transportation and the great breakfast that was included in the stay. For travelers looking for a convenient, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Augsburg, this hotel is a great choice. While our overall experience was positive, there were a few downsides to note. Our room faced the street, which meant it could get quite loud at times, especially when we had the windows open during the warm first few days. Additionally, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so not all rooms have been updated yet. Ours appeared to be in good shape, but there were some minor cosmetic issues, such as peeling wallpaper and paint chipping on the bathroom window, which was also a bit tricky to open and close. We also noticed a few bugs, likely due to keeping the windows open. Despite these minor issues, we would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Augsburg. Its excellent location, spacious accommodations, and delightful breakfast far outweigh the downsides. If you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient stay, this hotel is a solid choice.

“Good choice”

Even if the owner is a bit surly, the hotel is fantastic: working elevator, wide, clean and tidy room, a value breakfast (with salmon). I really appreciated the parking lot: it's a good choice coming in Augsburg by car, the city centre is ten minutes walking.

“lovely "vintage" hotel”

Built in 1966, this place definitely had vintage vibe to it and not in a run-down, tired way, far from it. You could tell from the little things like doors, windows, decor, but everything had been well taken care of and preserved. The place was immaculate! The staff were very helpful and friendly!! It's located about 1/2block away from a tram line that will get you to the extremely charming center.
