This family run hotel has 3 generations of family working here and everyone is extremely welcoming. We stayed here with our 2 boys (9 and 11) and it was the perfect place! Has an indoor pool which was nice for a break between all the site seeing. The property and hotel are very well maintained; you can tell there’s pride in ownership!! The location is awesome; Eagles Nest is close, salt mine tour in town (10 min), 45 min from world’s largest ice cave, a 7 min walk to an alpine coaster on a ski hill, to name a few! Berchtesgaden is 10 min away and I’m so happy we chose to stay in the Bavarian countryside at this incredibly charming hotel with this fabulous family!

“A Charming Alpine Hotel in a Quiet, Peaceful Setting.”

My family and I recently stayed at Hotel Neuhäusl. The hotel was not in the center of Berchtesgaden, but a little ways away, a ten minute drive. The area was quiet and peaceful. The drive to Obersalzburg and the Obersalzburg Documentation Center was also 10 minutes. Our room, comfortable for our party of five, was well lit and decorated in an alpine style. The beds were also comfortable. In the room, there was a small selection of complimentary teas and coffees. The breakfast, which was delicious and with many options, was laid out beautifully as a large buffet. The hotel restaurant also offered a very good dinner for reasonable prices and excellent service. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Neuhäusl and would recommend it to all who are visiting Berchtesgaden.

The accommodations were just lovely, but the best part of our stay was the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The reception personnel were professional and efficient. The owner especially was very cordial and patient with us stumbling over the language differences! The surrounding countryside was beautiful! The restaurant served us an excellent dinner as well. Highly recommend this charming hotel.

We just returned from a 4-night stay at the Neuhausl hotel situated just outside Oberau near the Austrian border in Germany. The hotel is driven by two very attentious and caring families involving several generations of the family and also a friendly and serviceminded staff. The hotel is located very close to both Roßfeld ski lift and rental opportunities in Oberau. Excellent for families and newcomers in skiing. Advanced lift areas can be found all over the area of Berchtesgaden, where the hotel is located. The skilift cards work for several of the areas jointly, so you can try out a new area each day, if you feel like it. Hotel has quite advanced offerings in the spa and massage section, which steam baths, heated pool, buble baths, cold area, sauna and infrared zones. Both family and couple areas are clearly marked, providing “safe guidance” to those with more privacy concerns than others. Hotel has its own restaurant with a broad selection of local and traditional dishes and offers both half board and ala carte. For half board we found the daily selections to be rich and plenty for the entire family. Staff is very helpful and service minded, and they cared for all our requests without doubt and always with a positive resolutions. Our stay was perfect - we did not expect much before visiting, but we got so much more, and we are already now considering booking it again for next year.
