Reception were super friendly and helpful especially when I hurt myself. Access to the Therme for our full stay was brilliant. So much fun.

The GOOD We are spa people and have been to many spas over the years. This place is really something! It models itself on a giant ship, and the rooms have various nautical and also space themes. It’s kind of like the Disneyland of Spas. It’s very family focused but we stayed there as a couple and really enjoyed it. One thing that’s VERY important with any hotel/spa is cleanliness, and this place is kept very clean. SO important!! Big bonus points for that. I never got an “eewww” feeling like I was about to get someone's cooties. The rooms are really fun, but if you want peace and quiet, ask for a room that faces outward toward the green area. If you face the pool, you will be hearing people and music until 10 PM. Their doors are pretty solid though. When closed you don’t hear too much noise. The spa can get crowded so getting there early is best. We decided to sleep in and found out only later the day that a certain amount of cabana chairs are reserved for guests. The front desk needs to make a point of telling guests that when they check in. We would’ve gone straight there with our stuff and not awkwardly carried it around for a couple hours. THE BAD... that turned out to be good. So we had a full day at the spa and are pleasantly tired and looking forward to a simple buffet before we had to fly out early the next morning. Apparently there was some corporate event that night and the main buffet restaurant was closed. The only restaurant options were limited to very expensive and pool food. The staff were polite but rather indifferent about our predicament. However, this story has a happy ending. We did have to pull the Karen card though and asked to speak to the manager. A very nice young man named Valentin, (think of a young Tom Hiddleston in “The Night Manager” type) actually listened to our complaint about the lack of buffet for paying guests and did something about it. He offered to order food from outside and have it delivered to our room. So basically “room service” which we were very happy with. He picked a good restaurant (La Vera Pasta) with reasonable prices and and delivered the food himself! The food turned out to be delicious! And hot! And arrived sooner than he initially said it would. We were quite happy with how it turned out. Easier than the buffet. Score Valentin! Otherwise this experience would have left a bad impression on our last night. Give Valentin a raise. He’s what every high end hotel needs, a problem solver!
