Good position, free parking. The landlady has been the only one that has suggested visiting the castle by free bus ! Haven't read this anywhere else, and it would have been a good idea if we had been quicker leaving the house. Unfortunately there are no buses between 10.05 any 11.15. So we got the car and paid 10 euro parking. Good breakfast, and you are suggested to prepare the lunch box ! The room is called 'small'... but it's huge ! And the landlord knows perfect English. Super !

It was a wonderfull stay. We've spend a great time in Fussen. Gorgeous nature, cosy tawn, tasty local bear. The hotel owner is very hospitable. It was a wonderfull stay. We've spend a great time in Fussen. Gorgeous nature, cosy tawn, tasty local bear. The hotel owner is very hospitable. We had welcome drinks, good advices about traveling and spending time, and at the end sendwiches to go. In room you can find everything you May need: hairdryer, microwave, frige. Bed is big and comfortable. Breakfast was also great: fresh buns, choice of meat and cheeses, vegetables and fruits, boiled eggs, yogurts, some sweets. But the most important it's a wonderfull service. We were impressed. I also work in a hotel and what I see is that service in a small places is always few times better thank on a big chain hotels. I wish one day I can also manager a small hotel in a place as wonderfull as that one. 💕

This was truly a five star experience. We are budget travelers and are traveling in the off season. So always trying to find a good place for the money. We were welcomed in like family by multiple family members, and some great beer in hand soon as we walked in the door! The accommodations were clean, spacious. The breakfast buffet was fantastic- and they offered for us to take sandwiches for lunch- which again at our budget truly saved us time and money later which we really appreciated! Fantastic family owned business that we were delighted to spend our money with such great hosts. Budget or not- this was a fantastic experience.

A quaint 700 year old property, very central but also a surprisingly quiet location in our experience. A problem on arrival was encountered as a marathon race was going on & access to Hintere Gasse was unclear as some roads were blocked, we could have been forewarned about this but we weren’t? As it was we wasted 90 very frustrating minutes circling central Fussen repeatedly trying to work out how to get onto Hintere Gasse. Ended up driving up a one way street (Luitpold Strasse) the wrong way & walking to Hinter Gasse for the owner to then tell us we were allowed to drive up Luitpold strasse the wrong way whilst the marathon was ongoing if we were staying in accomodation on Hintere Gasse! Parking is across the road from the front of the guesthouse in designated bays. You might have a fight on your hands for one of these bays if the hotel is busy as we did on one of the three nights we stayed. Our split apartment had a tv, 2 double beds & an extra pull out camp bed, a cooker in room, toaster, fridge, microwave, en-suite bathroom. Property was clean. No black out curtains. Breakfast of toast, Jams biscuits, cereal, tea & coffee was served 7.50-9.30am. Shower was small, just enough room to move around in it but easy to nudge the controls whilst doing so. Shower head grip was loose. No soap tray. No hand towel rail in bathroom. We thought the room was cold on one of the three nights we stayed, only thin duvets & a very thin optional fleece blanket were provided with no heating on in July whilst we experienced overnight low temps of around 11c. Property is run by a friendly owner who explained the local area very well. Pillows are huge & double sized but with an uncomfortable, lumpy filling. Unkempt garden area at the rear could be utilised to create a nice outdoor seating area imho but the owners are elderly so I won’t criticise them too much for that. All things considered, this was ok, great location for Neuschwanstein etc but I was ready to leave after 3 nights here.
