If you’re a tourist visiting Ingolstadt you can’t find a better stay as this hotel is on the main street of the old town, in a pedestrian zone. (Cars may enter to park in the hotel’s courtyard private parking lot.) I visited with my son and granddaughter to see a football match. Their double room was spacious. My single room was perhaps the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen, but still had everything necessary for my stay. It was an extremely cold night and the room’s heater struggled to keep it warm. (It’s a very old building.) The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is nice, with eggs to order. Overall a very nice stay.

“Great little Hotel.”

The location of this hotel in the Old Town is excellent for all central amenities. Local parking is difficult but the Hotel has a courtyard for which they charge 8 Euros. The location of this hotel in the Old Town is excellent for all central amenities. Local parking is difficult but the Hotel has a courtyard for which they charge 8 Euros. Breakfast is of a high standard and the rooms are fresh smelling and clean. Unfortunately, the visit was slightly tainted by the lift not working on our arrival day, and no assistance was offered to assist with our luggage up 2 steep flights of stairs. Thought that as we are of an older generation this help would have been forthcoming. A point of note is this hotel with the exception of its excellent breakfast does not serve snacks or meals at any time. The bar is open permanently and is very cozy although in the 3 days I was there I seemed to be the only guest that used it. However the good far outweighs the bad and we had a good stay.

“A nice and quiet hotel”

The hotel is about 15 min walk from Ingolstadt Nord train station. We got a room in the house opposite the main building. Not usualy you get such quiet location, we could have the window open without disturbing noise. The halls were being painted but there was no color smell in the rooms. Pretty cr… more

The hotel is about 15 min walk from Ingolstadt Nord train station. We got a room in the house opposite the main building. Not usualy you get such quiet location, we could have the window open without disturbing noise. The halls were being painted but there was no color smell in the rooms. Pretty crowded breakfast area if you weren't a early bird for breakfast. All in all, we are happy with our stay.

“Autumn visit”

We stayed at the Altstadt Hotel for two nights. The room was clean but the furnishings were a little old fashioned and basic. We arrived late and I did send an email informing the hotel about this. On our arrival the receptionist was not very friendly. Breakfast was good .
