“Friendly hotel in the centre of Lindau's old town area”

We arrived late in the evening for our stay at the hotel, we had previously arranged with reception to pick up our room keycard from a machine outside the hotel as the entrance is not staffed 24 hours. We arrived late in the evening for our stay at the hotel, we had previously arranged with reception to pick up our room keycard from a machine outside the hotel as the entrance is not staffed 24 hours. This all worked as planned and we were able to access our room with no assistance. There is some parking outside the hotel, or a multi-storey 5 minutes walk away for more space. The room was small but comfortable, the bathroom was more spacious, but I think that's because we had been given an "accessible" room despite not needing it! Breakfast was included, and was standard German fare, although a second coffee/juice machine would have been helpful as there was often a queue. Overall, a standard 3* hotel in a great spot for exploring Lindau.

Well located a minutes to the harbour. We had a spacious room with a small seating area. Although a long walk to the room from the lift. Looks like this hotel has taken up two buildings connected . Pillows not good but that seems to be a given in this part of Germany. No extras in room like fridge … more

Well located a minutes to the harbour. We had a spacious room with a small seating area. Although a long walk to the room from the lift. Looks like this hotel has taken up two buildings connected . Pillows not good but that seems to be a given in this part of Germany. No extras in room like fridge , water , kettle . No shampoo or conditioner just some soap. Standard 3 star. But it was quiet and sheets were fresh. Very clean room. Did not use breakfast as not included in my rate .

The reception was welcoming. The beds were comfortable and clean as were the shower and the toilet. But the bedroom was too hot. the view isn’t the best. The rooms were carpeted red with centre walls giving it a slightly old fashioned feel. On this hot day, airco would have helped more than the table fans… The breakfast was very hearty and a wide range of food available

“Decent hotel with helpful service”

Located vis a vis railway station and the town. Proper room accomodation. Nice and helpful service - providing indormation about restaurants and history of the town. Bike room available. Great breakfast. Vending machine on the ground floor - great idea for hot days.

My husband, 2 month old baby and I had a perfect stay at Hotel Vis a Vis. The location is right next to the beautiful lighthouse. And you can walk all around this cute “island”; it’s stroller friendly! Parking was available on site. There’s also an elevator which was perfect for bringing up the lug… more

My husband, 2 month old baby and I had a perfect stay at Hotel Vis a Vis. The location is right next to the beautiful lighthouse. And you can walk all around this cute “island”; it’s stroller friendly! Parking was available on site. There’s also an elevator which was perfect for bringing up the luggage and stroller. We received such a warm welcome by Susana at the front desk! She was friendly and informative. She provided a crib which she set up in the room for the baby and offered us extra towels for our little one. She also explained where we could find a quick dinner at such a late hour. The room was clean and spacious with a big bed and bathroom, desk, sofa bed and balcony with table and chairs. The only thing missing was air conditioning or a fan, as we were there in June and it was hot and stuffy in the room. Breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. Once again, Susana was helpful, offering to hold the baby while I ate. I felt very comfortable nursing my son in the breakfast and reception areas, too. Our stay was short and very sweet. I would highly recommend this hotel and its superior service!!!
