The location is a short for walk from the central station. It is located in a busy ‘downtown’ area with plenty of people around with busy roads and cycle lanes to watch out for. There is a Lidl a short walk away. It’s about a good 20 minute walk to the centre, mainly along one straight road. The hotel is popular and has a busy reception area which leads onto the busy breakfast area. Breakfast offers a good choice which we prebooked. We booked a double room through our tour operator and should have noted the very small room dimensions at the time of booking. The double room is acutely small. There is no wardrobe so you have to be very tidy and live out of your preferably small suitcase! Having said that the bed was comfortable , but wedged up against the window so one person has to clamber over the bed. I think the hotels in Munich are quite pricey , meaning you get more value for money elsewhere eg we stayed in a lovely family run hotel in Vienna which was cheaper and had better quality of services. We however got used to the small student style room. We changed room on our second night as there was a bad drain smell in the bathroom which we somehow put up with on the first night. The staff at the hotel are polite and busy juggling tasks and dealing with arrivals/departures. Positives: friendly atmosphere, good location for public transport, good breakfast choice, comfortable bed. Cons: the hotel is looking a bit tired and could do with some fresh paint and additional cleaning to spruce it up. We were out and about after 10 am but if you are going to lie in beware there is major building work going on , on the street side of the hotel with cranes lifting skips etc and creating a lot of noise. On the courtside of the hotel you can see office workers ( weekdays) quite clearly so you may want to close your curtains! Overall it was good base to explore Munich but if you are fussy like me you may want to research further or at least book a bigger room.

Start with a good complement-it’s near the station. Not so good: have interacted with 4 staff since arrival, the youngest employee was very helpful, the other 3 staff I would describe as sullen and a little irritated that I don’t speak German. But then they don’t speak the other 2 languages I do, so English is the travelling currency. I’m travelling Europe for 6 weeks and this is the only hotel with no tea/coffee/kettle in the room. Ok I can live with that. Asked if tea was available in the dining room area this afternoon, presuming it was a compromise for not supplying individual rooms with beverages. Yes -available, self service. Alas, 3.80 euro charged! Cheeky, mean. Same with breakfast - overcharged and no hot food.

This hotel has a nice entryway. It’s very bright very nice. It’s attached to a café, which is really cute and has great coffee and pastries.After check-in you go up an elevator to the rooms. You can see out side and then to your room, our room extremely green, gray dark browns very dingy very sad looking almost pathetic because it was just a garbled mess of color that didn’t fit the black hardware on everything was not a nice touch either you know it’s taste a very what I didn’t like is the bed had no cotton sheets. It was terrible. It was a wiry mix of. I don’tknow what polyester and something on a fitted sheet. Absolutely miserable experience there were things underneath it. I don’t know. I don’t know if a dog up the bed before we got there and left left debris all over and then they just put the sheet back on. I don’t know what happened but let me tell you the room was not clean when we arrived. We got out a quilt and put it over the bed to sleep on it was not a good experience. The room had 2 cups. It also had a coffee maker, which was nice, but we had no intention using it or just there for one night. The pillows were very hard. I brought my own pillow, I usually do so I didn’t have aproblem, but somebody would have the bed was spongy, but when you laid on it, you could bounce a dime off it. I slept poorly and I brought a sleeping mask. What’s nice about the room as it did have a light air porch to the that people were sitting in and smoking on, which is really annoying, but you could sit out there and that was nice. Also had a tableand two chairs in the TV a kitchen sink and a microwave. I think I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the kitchenette because we weren’t intending using it. The bathroom, however, was extremely small compared to the rest of the room. The room had open floor wasted space something I had never really seenin a hotel before it was kind of disturbing, but the bed underneath us also pulled out which we didn’t try to do that, but anyway, there was a type of storage next to the table and under that was a couple of other pillows and a polyester quilt which we used as a sheet because it was cotton my suggestion to this hotel is threefold first of all use cotton bedding, bottom line use cotton bedding use a cotton fitted sheet. Make sure you clean every room. Make sure your staff is liftingup that sheet and replacing it every time someone stays there your pillows need to be somewhere between medium firm and soft you should have one each and in every room. These are not expensive things. These are things you can do to make it a nice stay for someone I paid almost$200 no breakfast do you think I’m ever coming back absolutely not but you could do better and you should good luck to you in the future

“Small room”

The man at front desk was amazing. Not only was he alone at check in he was also serving drinks at same time. Room was very small, we had two large suitcases and the only place we could open them up was on the bed. I would not recmmend for intl travellers with luggage. Bathroom was tiny. … more

Room was very small, we had two large suitcases and the only place we could open them up was on the bed. I would not recmmend for intl travellers with luggage. Bathroom was tiny. Decor and vibe was nice. They also had free sparkling/still water available.
