We stayed at the Holiday Inn Westpark in Munich in July. We were a group of 5 people and styed in 2 rooms (one triple and one double. Location While the hotel isn't right in the heart of the city, its location turned out to be a major plus. The public transport connections are excellent, with a bus stop right outside and the U-Bahn (underground) and S-Bahn a short walk away. One could walk or take a bus to Harras Station where one could take the U6 to the city centre or S7 to the Central Station. It is also possible to walk to Partnach Platz station (one stop before Harras) to catch the U6 as this is generally quieter. Breakfast and Dinner One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. The spread was absolutely excellent, with a huge variety of hot and cold options, fresh pastries, fruits, and great coffee. We also appreciated the option to have dinner at the hotel in the evenings. After a long day out, it was so convenient to be able to relax and have a delicious, reasonably priced meal right there. Staff The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile and ready to assist with any questions we had. On our stay, the fire alarm came into action due to negligence of a guest The experience was a bit traumatic but the staff, apart from being extremely professional and well prepared, took care of us an ensured we were well. They also offered us drinks free of charge and continued checking on us until we could safely return to our rooms. Rooms The rooms themselves were another pleasant surprise - very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. One has to keep in mind that room service is not automatic, and one must inform the reception when they need to clean the room and/or replace towels. We never had problems with this. One must also mention that a free bottle of water is left in the room and replaced when empty. Though it might be considered as something small, it was very important for us. The value for money at this hotel was good. You get all the comfort and amenities of a quality hotel, with excellent service and fantastic food, at a very accessible price point. We would highly recommend the Holiday Inn Westpark to anyone visiting Munich, especially if you're looking for a comfortable, well-connected, and great-value option. We'll definitely be back on our next trip!

We travelled to Munich for 2 nights during Oktoberfest 2025 and found this hotel to be clean, conveniently located near transportation, and a solid budget option during the very high-priced Oktoberfest season. The hotel is located right next to a grocery store and cafe, which was great for breakfast items and morning coffee- we found the hotel optional breakfast buffet to be overpriced and just used the room fridge to store items for the mornings. The room itself was a clean with a king-sized bed and windows that opened for fresh air. The hotel is located within a 5 min walk of public transportation and was an easy train ride to/from Munich main station and all the sites in the city. While we could have taken public transport to Oktoberfest, the walk was about half an hour and quite nice after drinking and eating all day! The hotel location is a bit further away from central activities but that also meant that it was peaceful in the mornings and at night. Given the cost of hotels during this busy time, we found the Holiday Inn Westpark to be a very reasonable option, while still being within a 15min public transportation ride to most city attractions.

“If you expect great service this is not hotel for you”

Hotel is good, room was big, bathroom also. There were complementary water, kettle for water to be boiled and cafe machine. There were also few bags of tee and cafe pods, and packs of sugar. Hotel is good, room was big, bathroom also. There were complementary water, kettle for water to be boiled and cafe machine. There were also few bags of tee and cafe pods, and packs of sugar. There was a fridge too. Location is off main streets, but metro station is near, few hundred meters from the hotel, and line is leading to the center of the Munich. I had a problem with service. We spent there four nights and during that period our room was not cleaned once. In their welcoming directory of services says that the room is going to be cleaned once a day unless the "not disturb" sign is on the door, the towel will be replaced if on the floor, and the linen will be changed automatically after 3rd night... but none of this happened. No one came in our room once. We made tee first evening, and dirty mug was in the room till our departure. Our bin was never emptied (even if only trash were empty water bottles and snack wrappers). Not to mention linens and towels. So... if you expect great service this is not hotel for you.
