“Fantastic location and very little street noise”

Fantastic location, near the subway/trams and blocks from Marienplatz, the main tourist area. The room is basic, but clean and functional. Price is reasonable. The rooms are surprisingly quiet. Staff are friendly and speak English.

Well we had 2 nights booked. We chose it for the location and for the proximity to the U6 line to the stadium. Nothing fancy. Just the basic needs. Good luggage store with tags. We had a room on the 5th floor. We didnt have noisy neighbours but we could hear mostly everything. Otherwise good basic cleaning and toiletries. We had an isuue with the tv not working. We told them in the morning but nothing happened. Anyway, perfect for just a sleep and shower. Gooed neighbourhood and nice shopping area and restaurants.

I booked, and then I saw the reviews for the hotel. Yes, it is not a luxury place. Let me share my experience: STAFF The staff is very helpful and friendly. Before arrival, there was an issue with my payment. I was contacted via email by Monika, who was very kind, and the issue was easily solved. Upon arrival, I met a female receptionist with black hair for my check in, and two male ones for the check out. After my check out, they also were very helpful keeping my luggage in a locked room. All of them ensured a smooth check in/out. LOCATION Perfectly located, in the centre and just a few mins walk from Marienplatz, directly connected with the airport. THE ROOM I took the lift to the second floor, where my room was. There are big corridor carpets with many stains. Everything looks simple and rather oldish. There are details that some could not appreciate: the furniture, both in the room and the one I saw on other guests' photos, seems not to be part of the same set, which makes me think that many items were taken from flea markets or given away by former owners. The door had wholes and marks of door closers previously screwed. Strong second-hand vibes. The bed was comfortable. So was the toilet, and the shower had good pressure. The shower curtains had a few more wholes than needed. My room faced the street, which was rather silent. I thought that with a bit of investment, the hotel could really shine. NO BREAKFAST, BUT... The hotel serves no breakfast, but very close there's Müller bar, with many options. And for the eve I recommend Café Patolli, great cocktails and nice atmosphere, just 1 min walk. FACILITIES The hotel has a reception/waiting area. It has dispenser machines for drinks (and I think some snacks too, but not sure). Bear in mind that the reception is open from 6h30 to 22h30, and after that it is locked, meaning no access to the machines. Plus the aforementioned luggage room, very handy when travelling. PRICE I paid € 124 for two nights. Probably unbeatable. CONCLUSION Maybe not the best place for a romantic weekend nor for choosy people. But if travelling on a budget, Am Sendlinger Tor could be worth to consider.
