i must admit when we arrived at the hotel i was worried. the area looked unsafe. i thought about leaving but didnt want to waste time looking for another hotel unless it was necessary. when we checked in our three person room was three single beds which made the room very small. we asked to be moved and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful. they moved us into a bigger room but unfortunately that room had a broken toilet. by the time we discovered this a new gentleman was at the front desk. he was also very helpful. He apologized, contacted the manager and moved us to another room. the rooms definitely need air conditioning or at minimum a fan. i was told the hotel is due for an updating come winter. the room was clean. luckily it wasnt too hot. as for the area, it wasnt bad. we ate at a turkish restaurant across the street. buffet style. food was really good and affordable. it was about a fifteen minute walk to the square and ten minutes to the train station. it was also about a ten minute walk to the augustiner beer house. i found the area to be fairly convenient to where we wanted to go. Our last day they allowed us to remain in the rooms until we needed to leave for the station back to the airport. i would like to complement the staff. i came across at least 5 different staff members and every one was very nice and helpful.

I visited Munich for two nights with a friend for a short break. The hotel was around a ten minute walk from the city’s main train station which was ideal and the main reason for choice. Although not situated in the nicest part of Munich, it didn’t feel intimidating. The hotel reception was basic but staff friendly. The room itself was clean and modern. Bed were firm but fine and bathroom very good. Hotel is about ten minutes walk from old town with plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. Would probably stop again here if I was in a whistle stop stay.
