When visiting EU cities, we've decided that hotels on the outskirts offer several advantages: ease of access by car (no need to negotiate heavy traffic in an unfamiliar centre) and - usually - better parking facilities, and of course likely to be cheaper. Choose a hotel right by a public transport stop - job done. So...this hotel has a U-bahn station (Messestadt West) a few steps away from the entrance, frequent and rapid trains to Munich centre. The 'hotel car park' is in fact an area in the huge car park (with directions to the hotel) for the adjacent large shopping centre (groceries and eating places, loads of shops selling all you might ever need). So absolutely no problem finding a space, if you're rolling your cases along you can park anywhere you want, well-signed to lift access direct to reception. Car park entrance is very easy to get to from the Munich ring road, no dramas with traffic and/or awkward junctions. The hotel will then sell you a reduced-price ticket, insert into machine on way out, really easy. And bonus: there are AC EV chargers in the car park! And more being built when we were there Reception was very friendly, a minor problem with rooms was sorted to our total satisfaction by the intelligent, empowered staff (they could teach some other hotels how it's done) Rooms were really good, air-con worked as it should even on the hot days we were there, if you want your room at 20C, so it will be. Rooms were spacious, clean, mini-bar, lots of power outlets with USB sockets as well, comfy bed, lovely bathroom with walk-in shower, body lotion 'on tap', fast WiFi, Breakfast was really good, lots of choice, items regularly replenished, very pleasant and helpful staff. I've already mentioned the very large shopping mall a few steps away from the hotel, nice cool place to wander around in after a hot day in Munich, looking for that perfect gift or indeed, just about anything Overall? Absolutely could not fault this hotel, probably the best EU hotel I've stayed in, a great place to stay to visit Munich

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Family of 4 in 2 rooms. Reception at check in readily accommodated our request for a better room view. Although staff can be more courteous to guests. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Family of 4 in 2 rooms. Reception at check in readily accommodated our request for a better room view. Although staff can be more courteous to guests. Resto attendant , Mutya, was very friendly and gracious to us. Room and amenities were clean and modern. Size of room can be bigger but good for 2 people. Proximity to mall and eating places was fantastic ! Gym was small but well equipped. Overall a happy experience for our family.

This is a decent property with some really nice people. Everything went well, but this is not a 4 star hotel, so set your expectations and all will be fine. The things that were not up to par and of concern..... 1. the bed and the pillows. not very good at all. 2. The cleanliness was average. 3. Sitting on the loo your left knee hits the wall. 4. you have to ask for refills of everything on the room service.

“Rooms a little sparse - clean but not hugely comfortable”

This hotel is convenient for the Munich Messe, but it's not the most comfortable. Rooms were clean and comfortable - and I had a note in my room to encourage me to 'Skip The Clean' to male a 'Positive Impact' and 'reduce my footprint'. This hotel is convenient for the Munich Messe, but it's not the most comfortable. Rooms were clean and comfortable - and I had a note in my room to encourage me to 'Skip The Clean' to male a 'Positive Impact' and 'reduce my footprint'. I don't want clean linens or towels, so the only benefit is Novotel not having to pay someone to run the vacuum around, make the bed and fold the end of the loo roll into a little triangle!
