“Quick Stop”

We've been travelling through Germany and Austria for a few days now and has to the best hotel we've stayed at, and the cheapest too! Good sized, well appointed, clean rooms. The buffet breakfast ticked all the boxes too. If you plan to stay in this region, this hotel would make an ideal base.

“Good hotel in a nice village”

A very nice hotel in a small village, quite, very close to Regensburg, comfortable, good breakfast, free parking, well equipped gym. Only I don’t like is the sink in the room, out of the bathroom. D I really liked the stay

I'm giving this hotel 4 stars because the service level from the staff warrants it, the rest is a little substandard, or should I say not what one might expect for the cost. Firstly the positives. I'm giving this hotel 4 stars because the service level from the staff warrants it, the rest is a little substandard, or should I say not what one might expect for the cost. Firstly the positives. As mentioned the staff were all really really lovely, and very helpful, I literally cannot fault them at all and have zero complaints. The breakfast was excellent too, very extensive and very fresh, covered all tastes. The location is good too, with easy access to Regensburg, and the Walhalla monument. On to to the not-so-positives...... We were in the Suite, which was fairly large, but for the cost (nearly €200 a night for us) it wasn't good value. The cleanliness wasn't what it should be, the toilet floor was actually quite dirty, and there were other areas which were quite dusty. Prior to arrival I had asked for the sofabed to be made up, as sometimes my wife and I need to sleep in separate rooms (I snore, loudly). When we got there the host was a little confused as to why I wanted another bed made, but that was quickly sorted and they came up with the appropriate items to make it up, no problem. The sofabed itself though left a lot to be desired, the whole thing is worn out and tired, and needs completely replacing, my wife got around this by adding some outdoor seat cushions under an extra duvet, to increase the comfort, but it wasn't ideal. If two people were to sleep on this bed they would be very uncomfortable, and sitting on it as a sofa wouldn't be a pleasant experience either. Please throw this out and get a new one. Another thing was the air conditioning, well lack thereof unfortunately. Despite there being controls on the wall, it just blew warm air the whole time, did nothing to cool the room down at all. Thankfully when we were there the evenings were very cool, and was able to open the doors and let in the cool air, but either way it was disappointing that it didn't work, and if it doesn't work in the warmer months then this would be an issue! We reported it to the front desk, who said the technician would look at it, but it never worked for the whole 4 nights stay. The room has a balcony, which also could be lovely, but it's quite exposed to a public area to the left, which needs a much more substantial barrier between, and the whole area is in desperate need of a good jet wash, weeding, cleaning and painting. Then it will be much more appealing. All in all, for €200 a night, and arguably the best room in the hotel, it should be perfect, but it wasn't and it needs to be improved. The staff, however, brilliant!

“Good conference room”

Been here for a company sponsored workshop. Clean conference room, toilet, lunch area. Great taste food during lunch. Helpful and attentive staff. Drinks are refilled regularly. Good venue for an event.
