Owing to IT problems there has been a huge delay in being able to write a review. Usually I wouldn't therefore bother. However the experience here was such that I couldn't ignore it. We were in Bavaria for the Ice Speedway grand prix in Inzell and needed accommodation nearby, with all very local options sold out for months. Being around 11 miles away Ruhpolding was ideal. Looking at various options Bellevue Hotel was very competitive in terms of location, price, desirability and facilities. It immediately struck as a potential base. However the whole experience with everything to the finite in place took it to another level. We were welcomed by the wonderful hostess, as our car pulled in, with the option to use various languages. Check in was painless and the usual welcoming items were in place in our room. The room itself was bright, comfortable and had wonderful views. What wasn't apparent at first sight was what a wonderful night's sleep I would get. I can honestly say I haven't slept better for many years, beds were so comfortable. We had always intended to have at least one meal here but with the weather interfering with our proposed destination, on our first night, it turned out our first meal would actually be in the hotel. Selecting some home cooked local delicacies was an easy choice and didn't disappoint with the only problem being we were too full for a dessert. One noticeable matter on each night was the number of local people, as well as guests, eating in the restaurant which has to be a good recommendation. Throughout the hostess and, I assume, family members catered to our every need without being intrusive. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, to start the day. With us having to get an early flight on our last day we needed to leave before breakfast started. In advising the hostess not to cater for us, the previous evening, we were presented with a packed lunch; one with vegetarian options for my partner to take with us on our early departure. Certain aspects of the break were not ideal and we would look at different options for any future trips, but we would definitely look to incorporate Bellevue Hotel into any plans and have recommended it to any friends planning on visiting the area.
