This is my second time saying at the Amedia Weiden for three plus weeks and for the most part, the facility does not disappoint. Let's get the negatives out of the way first: 1. During peak times the water pressure and hot water is less than desirable. 2. During peak times the Wi-Fi is pretty bad. Outside of peak times, both of these are fine. Positives - the hotel is clean in every area. The rooms are comfortable and manageable even for a long stay. The included breakfast in my "package" is outstanding. And their little bar area is comfortable and friendly with drink prices comparable with the surrounding community. The staff personnel is where this hotel exceeds expectations. Most handle multiple roles with expertise and professionalism. Four employees went above and beyond. Tanja and Joleen were so friendly! These two truly made our experience enjoyable with their welcoming smile, their gratefulness, and their commitment to customer satisfaction. Hermann and Birgit had a breakfast extravaganza awaiting us every morning. They greeted us with a warm welcome and maintained the area throughout the breakfast period. Upon our daily departure, these two wished a good day and a positive expectation for the following day. For those who hire in the CS industry, these four are the epitome of what you're looking for. “Déjà vu”

The location is wonderful as it's really easy to walk to the center of town for dinner and shopping. The hotel has not changed much since I first stayed there almost 20 years ago. The restaurant is being renovated and it appeared that the spa was closed.

I resided in the Amedia Hotel - Weiden for about a month while in the area on business. Let me get the negatives out of the way up front since these are minimal: 1. The lobby/front desk closes around 9:00pm, this also cuts off access to the elevators of this five story hotel. Lobby reopens around 6:00am 2. The internet availability is very weak during peak hours. 3. The restaurant was closed. Moving on to the positives: 1. A phenomenal, friendly and professional staff. Everyone went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable even in a COVID environment. A big shout out to Christine and Marie who greeted us every morning with a welcoming smile and salutation. A huge shout out to Carolin and Patrick for making our uneventful evenings, eventful. They were so much fun and funny! 2. The housekeeping staff is also above par ensuring our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard while working around our weird schedules. 3. The room was comfortable, not exceptional. It included a very small refrigerator. 4. We were just a 10 minute walk from Weiden City Center full of incredible eateries in a very friendly community. You could find fare from all walks of life and I personally did not have a bad meal anywhere. 5. About a 10-12 minute walk to the Train Station and a two minute walk to the main bus station (Am Zob). There is the greatest little food stand in that area call Imbiss Am Zob. Deiter is the owner and a really cool dude. Great food, cold beer and friendly conversation. 6. There is also a small grocery store (Netto) right across the street from the hotel. 7. The parking garage below the building is well lit and safe. Overall this was a very good experience and I would recommend staying there unless the lack of an elevator would hinder your room access or you are required to get some work done during peak hours. The internet can be frustrating. For me the staff overcame these minor nuisances. They were the best!
