We had a fantastic time staying in the hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and always willing to help. Johnathan looked after us and made our stay memorable. We stayed in the car themed hotel because we wanted to see the Michael Schumacher collection and we also went to Kerpen to see Michael Schumacher Kart Track, which was in commuting distance of the hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location and there were two tram stations that were within walking distance of the hotel and it was possible to be Cologne within 20min. We would definitely recommend staying in the hotel especially if you love cars. Several exotic car dealers are located in the Motorworld complex next door and you could see cars that are quiet rare and also being able to visit the Michael Schumacher Private Collection which is also in the Motorworld complex next door.

“Some 'pros' and one very big 'con'.”

I arrived with a group of just over 60 for an international car club trip. I arrived with a group of just over 60 for an international car club trip. The V-8 (which, as it turns out, alludes to motors and not a tomato drink) it was, we thought, a perfect venue for us and our 36 NSX's. Our rooms were of adequate size, clean, and reasonably priced. We were able to park our cars together, which drew attention from many of the other customers of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was nothing special, but also once again, adequate. No complaints yet. The bartender was friendly and served as quickly and with enjoyable banter. Our group dinner was simply hamburgers, which was fine with us but took some time to be served. A bit of a ding here, but knowing how difficult it is to serve 60 if people at a time, some leeway is given. They knew ahead of time that this is what was going to be done.And they could have done a better job. Only 2 stars primarily due to the service, not the food. The burgers were pretty darn good. So now the huge con. We were told to park our cars in a particular area of the parking lot near their airplane so that we could have a concourse event judging the quality of the builds if not original, and a participant favorite. The cars, of course, were left there that evening.As we went for dinner. Still no problem. The problem came about when the sun went down and the fireworks display that one of the customers of the hotel had created for his engagement. The man had received the permits and the okay from the hotel.However, what did not happen was letting us know that the fireworks display was going to happen and when the debris from the fireworks fell on our cars, you could say we were much less than happy. Fair warning and allowing us to move our cars.Prior to the fireworks, show up would have alleviated and eliminated the problem completely. That wasn't done. What happened afterwards was even worse. Management took absolutely no responsibility and did not apologize for the incident whatsoever. They simply informed the groups coordinators that everything they did was perfectly legal, and they had no real responsibility. They would, however, were suits to be filed provide us with the names of those responsible both the person that had hired the fireworks group and the fireworks group themselves. No apology. No, "How can we make this right for you?" Just a CYA memo and that, my friends, is very poor customer service.
