“Nice business hotel”

A typically business hotel with standard equipment in the room. Staff is friendly and breakfast is really good. It is possible to park in garage for 15€. Take away in restaurant is limited to pizza, which for me is a no go.

This modern hotel in a central location is well equipped and places a strong emphasis on sustainability and local suppliers, which I personally appreciated. The rooms are clean and comfortably spacious. As the hotel is relatively new, the furnishings and equipment are modern and in excellent condition. The breakfast buffet is truly a highlight – a wide variety of delicious options, high-quality food, and plenty of local and organic products. A further plus is the hotel’s own underground parking garage. However, it’s quite narrow and was full during our stay. Fortunately, guests can use the nearby bank’s garage on weekends, which was very helpful. This hotel is positioned in the higher price segment compared to other accommodations in Göttingen, so one naturally expects corresponding standards and attention to detail. While the hotel has many strengths, there were several aspects that did not fully meet expectations. Our room was unfortunately quite noisy – it faced a main street and intersection, where traffic and sirens could be heard even late at night. Additionally, the noise from the hotel corridor was disturbing, especially when other guests arrived late. Although I am genuinely a dog lover, the number of dogs in the hotel felt excessive. On Saturday morning, I was woken up by loud barking in the corridor, and the elevators – which lack good air circulation – smelled unpleasant after being used by large dogs. While I appreciate pet-friendliness, in a higher-end hotel, one should not constantly be exposed to pet-related disturbances. A better balance or designated pet areas might help. The room also lacked proper blackout curtains, and with the sun rising on our side of the building, it became very bright early in the morning – not ideal for restful sleep. Furthermore, there were visible liquid stains on the walls, possibly from a party held by previous guests. This is something that should definitely be addressed through more thorough cleaning and maintenance. As we stayed in two separate rooms on different floors, it was inconvenient that there was no in-room phone system to communicate internally. Lastly, while the hotel offers its own garage, the parking spaces are extremely narrow, which makes maneuvering quite difficult.

+ Very functional, practical guest room i.e. spacious guest room, generous shower room with perfect water insulation. There is a bluetooth speaker available in the room. - Room cleaning every three days unless you ask for - Expensive breakfast buffet (> EUR25)
