We were very positively surprised upon arriving at this hotel. The area was practically fully booked, when this hotel popped up. Quite expensive, but considerably less than most alternatives. This is an extremely popular destination after all. The pictures really don't look too good. But we were positively surprised. The hotel is charming. We had an extra bed, which made the room a bit "crowded", but it worked. Bathroom decent, no problems. We had a room with a nice balcony. The location is excellent! Breakfast is a little basic, but they serve coffee and tea directly to your table - a nice touch. Staff in general is very helpful, polite and smiling. Negatives: only one key (old school physical key) provided, which is very inconvenient. The hotel seems a bit worn. The "style' is a very 90's maritime style, which is unusual and weird, but not actually a problem - rather charming.

was in this charming little beach/summer city during February, definitely not the best time, but still very cosy with lots to offer. The hotel is situated conveniently close to both the main restaurant area as well as the beach. From outside it appears to be a relatively old house with a kind of charming appearance. Inside you will find that the bar/restaurant also serves as reception and the owners domaine. The owner is a very helpful gentleman and besides helping you to your room he will also arrange breakfast for you. We choose a suite since we were three traveling together, the room was not extremely big but large enough to accommodate us. The old house design included lots of room towards the ceiling and large windows to the street, KMD of a gazebo like feel. Parking was available at the back at an extra cost of 7 EUR per day. So why only a 3 star rating? Well here are the "disappointments" despite the low season we paid more than 100 EUR for the room and for that price you expect the hotel to offer more than a few German only tv stations on small tv screen, a heating system that doesn't turn off during the night, resulting in a very cold room. Curtains that expands all the way to ensure a little privacy especially when you have room with large windows facing the street in street level. Last but definitely not least we choose the hotel because it offered WiFi, all three of us could see the wifi on our devices but it was impossible to connect to it and use it. The owner told us to go to the first floor (very cold) tv lounge, and sure enough it worked up there, but not in our room where we needed it I will not be back.
