“Basic, cheap - but a good location near the railway station and tram up to the city”
Read the heading - that's it. As a base for exploring the surroundings the hotel location is perfect! - with local trains you can go to Erfurt, Weimar, Apolda, Bad Kösen, Bad Sulza, Freyburg a.s.o. :) - by tram, outside the door you go up to the city center for euro 2 - remember the kurtaxe pass!

“Basic hotel next to station”
The hotel is next to the station (therefore you do hear passing or stopping trains in the hotel). The city center is a 20-25 min walk or you can take the tram that is just outside. Parking was for free. We did not try the hotel restaurant and did not have breakfast. Rooms are basic and ok.

“Handy but basic”
If you have a train to catch this Hotel is ideal but it is a basic business hotel where even the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday when we stayed. “Cheap Rates, but disappointing”
Good value given the very cheap rate I paid. But the walls are paper thin - I cd hear the radio alarm going off in the next room at 6am.
