“Comfortable rooms, very helpfull staff and excellent food.”

I have stayed at this hotel twice en route between Norway and Spain as it is ideally located 2 minutes from the A1 motorway. Some of the rooms are in the main building and others in the annex behind - I have had rooms in both and both were roomy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. My first visit in November, arrived quite late when the restaurant was just closing but was made very welcome and was able to order a very tasty meal. On that visit I was with my wife and our small dog and the pet friendly room which was in the main building was excellent. My last visit in late April I was travelling alone and again ate in the restaurant but at a more reasonable hour. Again the food and service was excellent. All the staff were extremely helpfull and even though i cannot speak German we were able to comminicate easily. I will being staying there again next time I dtive to Spain. Highly recommended.

“Very good and friendly!”

The rooms are spacious, bathroom excellent and very clean, Staff very friendly and quick serving, location quiet, and good prices! We certainly will return. There is a nice garden well equipped to enjoy a drink outside. And lots of parking space. Situated close to the highway, but no noise at all.

This obviously family run hotel is located very close to the big cities like Dortmund,Dusseldorf or Koln.So if you are Bundesliga addicted ,it is a location just for you adding also Leverkusen and Gelsenkirchen. This obviously family run hotel is located very close to the big cities like Dortmund,Dusseldorf or Koln.So if you are Bundesliga addicted ,it is a location just for you adding also Leverkusen and Gelsenkirchen. Anyway,although situated by the road ,it is a quiet place.The rooms are big enough,the furniture seems to be from 80s so you expect Limahl to appear there.Did not happened though.There is no minibar in the room but there is a big fridge in the corridor you can take the bottles from and pay at the end. There is a large garden surrounding the hotel and some tables are also placed outside. I have used sauna which was OK.Whirlpool was not working and I was missing there the lockers or the changing room.But it was fine. Breakfast was surprisingly good.It was very rich-smoked salmon,schwarzwald schinken,plenty of fruits and drinks.I was pleasantly surprised. I was having a dinner outside the hotel but when coming back the restaurant was completely full so I assume that the food is fine there as well.

This is a familiar hotel/restaurant. Room sizes are good and they are very comfortable. Bathroom is small, specially bath place, which leads to some difficulties for tall people. Hotel closes 21h30. No services at night. Breakfast is really complete, with some options of fruits, many types of bread, juices, and typical german food, besides coffee and milk. Restaurant is also great with good options of meat, fish and german food, with good beer options.
