Musa’s Grüne Tanne is located just south of Hamburg and offers nice, clean rooms at reasonable prices, with free parking right outside. Yes, the walls may be a tiny bit thin, but the beds are comfortable and the Wi-Fi works perfectly, so no complaints from us. Very close to the hotel there’s a small, gently hilly forest that’s ideal for a walk. And then there’s Restaurant Rindock’s nearby, serving huge schnitzels and ice-cold draft beer – exactly what a traveller needs.

“Very nice hotel, very clean (bath)room at the edge of a big city”

The restaurant was closed because of a renovation, which was a shame, the menu was very inviting. Fortunately there was a very nice restaurant along the road, at about 1 km from the hotel. The restaurant was closed because of a renovation, which was a shame, the menu was very inviting. Fortunately there was a very nice restaurant along the road, at about 1 km from the hotel. The staff were very helpful in finding that restaurant and in finding our way the next day. Because half of Hamburg happened to be the subject of roadblocks when we were there.

“Perfect for our Needs”

We needed a place to spend one night after arriving from Iceland. This nice hotel met all our requirements. It was about an hour from the airport, near the A7 highway but not so near as to be noisy. It was located in a small suburban area that was very pleasant to walk. Lots of trees and beautiful flowers all around the area made it very pleasant. The room was large, very clean, and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was very modern and included a hairdryer, which was handy as our adapter didn't work. There was a restaurant on the premises that was good. There was good internet. Lastly, the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was always someone who spoke English well enough that we could manage. We would certainly return.

“Worn, but nice location and clean”

I really can't understand why this should be 3 stars; the room we got (in the loft) was very worn, and the hotel itself looks mysteriously shabby. The room did not at all look like the online pictures. The room and bathroom was clean, but very old furniture and mattresses, and not much space to tak… more

I really can't understand why this should be 3 stars; the room we got (in the loft) was very worn, and the hotel itself looks mysteriously shabby. The room did not at all look like the online pictures. The room and bathroom was clean, but very old furniture and mattresses, and not much space to take a shower. Also see the pictures. No airconditioning nor curtains or blinders which makes it rather hot right under the roof. Friendly people at the reception if you can find them. Because of the location/room we decided not to go for breakfast. On the upside: nice location very close to the Autobahn and quiet at night.

“Fair quality for a nice price”

We spend 1 night in this hotel in South Hamburg. We 've been facing a misunderstanding with the reservation that was problematic (no bed for our son!). The man at the reception made all he could to find a solution and succeed. Very good service!
